I Read Digimon Liberator... Here are my Thoughts

Personally I love it, but I get it's not everyone's cup of tea. Fully agree, that this should be an anime, but even more so, I think it would be a fantastic new Digimon Game.

I tried reading it on my phone. It was a horrible experience. Haven't tried since. Can't say I'm particularly interested really

It really comes across that you're a card game fan and less of a Digimon fan. But yeah. They tend to reveal a lot of the cards in the chapters, both comic and novel. Speaking of which with the 10 characters in the panels, with the latest chapters, we DO know them because they're in the novel. It's cross promotion. But if you like the meta concept with the Digimon with the chicken or egg as you mention, you'd probably enjoy Tamers, which is generally considered one of the best anime seasons.

@masterlinktm I meant he focused on things common in card game media (IE: he brings up the CFV anime) compared to it following Digimon standards and seeing it from that scope? I think saying it's mid by comparing it to full-fledged series or a hypothetical anime or game is a little uncharitable, but I don't see what that has to do with what I said? I think it's good for what it is. Cute. I like the lore building around it and the new stuff. You can agree with Mario and/or dislike it?

@@VirtualVictrola " I think it's good for what it is." Good is a comparative word. Meaning calling something good while only comparing it to itself is meaningless. Comparing Liberators to other web-comics, I think Liberators is terrible. It is a 4/10 or 5/10 at best.

Maybe I am just spoiled by all the good manga I have read in the past. But I think Digimon Liberators is garbage. And for the life of me, I cannot understand how people can say that web-comic art is good.

I just can't stand the vertical scrolling format. The story seemed interesting enough, but the format kept me from getting very far.

They definitely catered to mobile users. It seems like it worked. I guess I'm used to it from reading on my phone in general, and I'm just like ah okay. But yeah that checks out, especially when it loads slower.

I think the paneling is just bad. The art sometimes get cut off on the sides like it wasn't made for that format

​@MrGalpartuk It may not have been? I mean Digimon Tri was originally supposed to be an anime series and not a bunch of movies. I just enjoy it for what it is. It's more than what we got for Seekers lol.

I agree with you, unfortunately the novel part is worse. If it had the full length games it could've passed as a good commercial but it can't even teach people how the game play
