I know this channel is light hearted and goofy but I have to get serious for a moment. Although I don't know you personally, I'm so genuinely proud of you and what you accomplished this year and so excited to see where your journey goes. I stumbled upon ur video by accident, I was watching something that ended and KZbin played the next video and instantly I just clicked with your personality. N hearing some of your back story really resonated with me. I wasn't raised by my grandmother but my brother and I were raised by my grandmother's sister who I have called my mom since the age of two and she is my best friend, my everything but is currently in her last stages of dimentia and hearing your story of overcoming adversity is so inspiring and so special. You truly are such a light and I don't think it was an accident I found your channel. When I heard you also have a passion for science I knew were my YT person because physics has been everything to me from the time I was in middle school. Sorry for the lengthy comment but u work so hard to put out these videos, I felt it necessary to put some time in to explain how much happiness these videos have brought me. It's so rare to come across people with a similar back story and I'm rooting for you and will support you every step of the way. 🫶🏽🌸🤗

I'm so mad I'm just seeing this!!! thank you so much for taking the time to write this and opening up (if you're anything like me- and I suspect you are- I know it wasn't easy to be so vulnerable). I'm sorry to hear about your grandmas sister; I hope you are able to spend as much time with her as possible to create a lifetime of memories. If she's anything like my grandmother I know how hard it can be to see someone you love so much in pain or suffering but I am sure she is proud of you and the person you are becoming. I'm so honored to be a safe space for you during such a tough time. I always see your comments and they always come at a time where I feel unsure or feel the imposter syndrome and they always bring a little extra light to my day so THANK YOU!! It truly makes me so grateful to know I have someone like you rooting for me 💜 and just know I'm rooting for you too! It you ever want to talk you can always email me or message me on instagram! love you girlie 💜

Quick tip for reaching those bigger reading goals: graphic novels and manga are perfect to include in your reading! They don’t take as long as chapter books to finish, and they’re great to get into when you’re in a rut. I would say my top 5 this year are: Know My Name by Chanel Miller (required reading if you like memoirs), As Long as the Lemon Trees Grow by Zoulfa Katouh, Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé, Frizzy by Claribel A. Ortega and the Witch Hat Atelier series (kind of cheating, but I couldn’t pick one from it lol).

Thank you thank you thank you for the Eleanor Oliphant recommendation- I read it bc of you and I found it not only enjoyable but also incredibly healing. I’m lucky to not have experienced trauma on the same level as Eleanor’s but her story was relatable nonetheless and it really unlocked something in me. It’s been a long time since I have felt so seen or represented by a character. My favorite part of this book is how the author makes no attempts to give her a “redeemable” quality, because she doesn’t need one. She doesn’t need to be fixed or changed in anyway to be lovable. Damn :,) this book had me crying at work, sobbing on the bus, laughing out loud and smiling so hard to myself. I had to put it down sometimes when it got too emotional for me but I knew it was doing something to heal me, similarly to how therapy can be painful but healing. I’m so glad I found this book through your channel, it has become an all time favorite and one I will no doubt pick up again and again. So major shoutout to you! 🙏😌

There were a few books that left a lasting impression on me but I just got through reading The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett, and I strongly recommend that one to you. It’s relatable, but also a heads up, a bit of a heavy read. I dont usually get emotional when i read but I did have tears when i read this 😅 I finished it almost 2 weeks ago and it’s still in the back of my mind. Oh my God I discovered your channel this year and thoroughly enjoyed every video of yours. The way you explain your feelings about a book and what it left with you is incredible. Lots of love to you and your channel from India. Keep making amazing videos. Oh yeah and you are funniest girl I have seen 😂😂

Under the Whispering Door by T.J. Klune is in my top five this year! I just ordered The House on the Cerulean Sea and I can't wait to read it. 😊

Your short overhyped and underhyped came up so I came here to subscribe. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is an all time fav that I first read as a teen and We were the Lucky Ones is the first book I read in my current book club and loved it. My TBR has several of the overhyped books, so looking forward to see if I agree with you. also will reading your 2023 favs. Of those, I have only read Eleanor Olyphant

Hi love your page!! One of my fav books I read this year was Lullabies for Little Criminals: A Novel by Heather O'Neill. From the perspective of a 13 year old girl trying to navigate the cards she was dealt. Incredible read.

love the video as always! can’t wait to see your success in 2024!! im definitely not going to make my goal of 50 books this year (25/50 😭😂). but my 5 star books of this year have to be: 1. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller 2. Death Of A Salesman by Arthur Miller 3. Really, Good Actually by Monica Heisey (I know a lot of people didn’t like this one but idc I loved it) 4. The Only One Left by Riley Sager 5. Finding Me: A Memoir by Viola Davis (absolutely PHENOMENAL. very heavy book). 6. Mickey7 by Edward Ashton (very creative storyline and actually really funny! one of the only books that made me laugh out loud!) cheers to a bright and successful 2024 🥳🥂!

I am so glad you pointed out that there's no need for competitive reading ❤ I personally either read classics or thrillers and some of those are between 800-1000p and not un my native language, which means comparing myself to my colleague who reads mainly manga is ridiculous. As long as you enjoyed yourself, you had a successful reading year 🎉

Did you know that there is a SEQUEL to The House in the Cerulean Sea coming out in September? I was lucky enough to read an excerpt of it (the first 4 chapters) and it's... even better?! If that's possible. Sure, it starts a little slow, but I don't mind that with a good plot. It's also from Arthur's point of view. Also, a few years ago when I read the book, I wrote to the author, and he wrote back a very, very nice letter. It's nice to know the author is a good person. Lastly, who was your favorite character? Mine was Chauncey. I love that he's a green blob that just wants to be a bellhop!

I loved the house in the cerulean sea so much!! The characters were adorable 🥹 If you enjoyed it I would also recommend Wolfsong by TJ Klune 😇 Yess eleanor oliphant is so good!! I loved it too 🤎 Raymond is the sweetest!! The seven husbands of evelyn hugo was my first book of hers as well and I absolutely adored it. I loved the martian and I should really read project hail mary. Frankenstein is one of my all time favourite classics. Educated was on my honorable mentions list as well as I read it last year and thought it did a good job of realistically showing how when trauma is related to a person, it is very difficult to break away from them. I wanted to scream at her for continuing to return but could absolutely understand why she did. She is such a strong woman!! And hopefully I will read Black cake this year :3 It's waiting for me on my shelf.

First video I see of you and you gained a new subscriber :) The way you talked about books left me with a smile, looking forward to this new year of reading, might take up some of your recommendation (I also loved the silent patient and the seven husbands of evelyn hugo so that also told me you had great taste :))
I read 57 books last year and these were the worst 🤢📚
