Also, I liked reading the Complete Monster Troper Tales because most of it was people writing about the villains they're making for their stories, and they came up with some pretty cool ideas.

26:30 That reminds me of a weird quirk of video game mechanics in Fable 2. You can watch people increase and decrease in attraction to you in real time from over their heads, so when you suddenly decide to go full video game sociopath and slaughter them all, killing them fast enough will have them still showing their feelings for you broadcast over their quite dead heads. "Y'know, I used to think that you were hot, but when your blade severed my spine and I bled out into the dirt, I realized you weren't *that* hot. Also, I now think you're very annoying."

14:45 Really late, but to play pervert's advocate, I think "she usually keeps it covered" meant the girl wore long shirts/sweatshirts/whatnot that went down to her hips, covering over her butt. Also, stealing "That is the largest bottom I have ever seen. Will you show me how it sways?" Sounds great for a character that tries and fails terribly at being courteous. Also: 20:17 "Time to enter Smart-ass Mode." *breaks down crying*

One thing I dislike is that some of the names of "tropes" are really more alluding to attitudes. If that makes sense? Like "All Men are Perverts". Or "All Women are Lustful", to be even handed. The idea is that men being being pervs is just natural. OK. Fine. But that's... not a trope? It's an attitude, or perhaps even a theme? Like, I don't think TVT is really equipped to handle something like that? I dunno, maybe I'm overthinking it. But I just know there's some entries there that are like "This one man is a pervert so it's an example of this - subverted in that he's called out on it by other men" and like. I dunno I'm rambling now. I just don't like the generalisations on that site. If it was called "Perverted Man" I might be less annoyed. I mean, I'd call that a "Character Archetype" or "Trait" rather than "Trope" because I try not to say "Trope" anymore. god I wish I never found the site.
@Wince_Media3 жыл бұрын
I think the trope "All men are perverts" conveys that every male character in the show is a pervert, or expresses the idea that all menard perverts. Like, saying "Oh, you have porn? You're a guy, after all"
@MPHJackson72 жыл бұрын
Technically a trope is just anything recurring though fiction. A character, a phrase, a plot line, an attitude, anything.

Now for the third entry on the ‘me airing myself out in a vain hope of this series returning’ series, in which I apply all the tropes discussed in the video to myself just to let Gus (who I think is the owner of the channel) know that I really liked this series and want it back, though I doubt he checks notification. This one’s going to be a tough one as it has the infamous butt trope, but I’ll manage. Baby Got Back: I think one of the most obvious of the early cues of the fact that I am not straight was when I found myself weirdly enthralled by a classmate’s butt, and I don’t use enthralled without reason, it was like that thing had a gravity of its own that pulled my eyes to it. I’m pretty sure she caught me looking at it more than once, but I think she thought I was just jealous which honestly is (true) better than her knowing what I was actually going through my teen brain. Berserker Tears: One time I was brought to tears because I failed an important test for bullshit reasons, but at the same time got so angry that I ripped the test sheet apart all while continuing to cry. Nothing impressive, certainly not like scalping someone because they called you a crybaby, but it’s all I have. Check the next troper fail videos in the playlist if you likes this comment enough to want another one, I'll be sure to write one for the tropes there.

@bom.66583 жыл бұрын
The American difference is that colleges are smaller and local and specifically focus on undergraduate classes as well as teaching for trade schools because they are local sources of higher education while universities are considerably larger and have a focus on teaching both undergraduate and graduate degree programs. They can both get you a similar degree initially but they don’t usually have the same goals after that degree
