however the most dangerous are the people that play competitive sot usually we dont even play adventure anymore because it's a waist of time to look for people and sink them if the fight only takes 1 minute and finding them takes 20 :)

@@collinkaufman2316 it boils down to having to learn every aspect of your ship and managing it without help so in a fight you have to learn to know when to throw water, how much to turn the wheel to get it to basically steer its self while you do other stuff, and how to fight potentially larger numbers of players at once basically where people who play exclusively with friends tend to find them self in a single role, a solo has to be able to do all roles at any time

Broken or not, as most games are, nothing compares to SOT. I can go swear lord and work on my gold curses in PvP, or play with my wife and son, sending out our son to board every ship like a rabid dog. His giggle alone while adults are screaming is epic (of course we have his in game voice chat off). No game will ever come close aside from a sea of thieves 2, which I hope they truly have in the works.

I have noticed an uptick in people making videos on sea of thieves. I really don’t know why it is happening, whether KZbin is finally recommending these videos, the PlayStation announcement made people try the game, or people just all started making videos, it doesn’t really matter. I am just glad people are finally talking about this game. It deserves all the love people can give it.

Sot is a really fun game. I got a few hundred hours in it. Although i stopped playing because it's far over 100gb and extremely predatory when it comes to cosmetics.

Sot also has a very competetive community. Unfortunately rare kind of fucking hates them and keeps taking mechanics that raised the skill ceiling and made pvp more fun away, they falseban some of their best players, remove the gamemode that allowed for actual competetive tournaments like NAL or SOC, etc. If you are interested in seeing somed good ass players play the game i recommend Captain Stirling for naval and tdm/on deck montages by people like MisTakeS, Scudal or xMechatok (only naming a few)

Sea of Thieves is literally a peak format for multiplayer games imo. Especially if you aren't a full on shooter fan. The thing is Rare is ill-equipped for such a wonderful game. The game is literally broken. All of 2024 they'll have most of the devs working on these issues luckily, but for ages they put quantity over quality and now we have tons of poor working content that is fast to complete and leaves you unsatisfied. Luckily 2024 is focused on enriching the game as is, because the fun in it is not from the pvp of pve, but from the interactions with both your crew and other crews. Fantastic game that doesn't work, but that may change soon.

@@CrackedJust1n I noticed. I remember when I thought 33 thousand was a lot of money 😂. In all seriousness just enjoy the game. Idk if you watched the 2024 roadmap, but a lot of fantastic stuff is prepared. On top of that we have the dedicated big fox team I mentioned. You’ll likely started noticing the issues soon though before they are fixed. Hit reg is the main issue (bullets hitting but doing no damage) they want to fix. Secondly is sever stability. Due to the addition of east anti-cheat the already unstable servers are literally breaking apart. The anti-cheat also bring about a ton of lag. I now average 80-100 ping compared to my original 60 in previous seasons. Lastly, if you ever need any help with anything, just ask around. In game specifically there are only three things that can happen, they leave, you die, they help you. Considering it’s a pirate game it’s worth the chance. Offline I’d avoid the discord server. I used to suggest that if anyone wanted help on a new voyage, but it’s pretty bad nowadays. Instead I suggest a streamer server or something. Lastly, pick a side my friend. Athena or Reapers. These words may or may not make sense to you right now, but when Season 13 comes around (no spoilers in case you haven’t seen the roadmap) it will be a very dividing choice. The game sea of thieves reminds me of the pirates of the Caribbean game that came out years ago , I think I know one game that can learn from sea of thieves is Path of Titans , The game is fun but the map feels dead with no npc dinosaurs
