This song really goes to show how cyberpunk as a genre, was also influenced by 80s synth music for its world building and this version fits perfectly.

Always was. People just forget. A lot of people are under the impression that Cyberpunk was a trend that started only in the past couple of years and when Vaporwave kicked off. In reality, it's been around for more than 40 years. Bladerunner, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, etc. There are so many properties that wanted to explore this genre of a future with boundless technology still limited by the vices of man. And most of them just so happen to come out of the 80's. The 80's didn't just influence Cyberpunk, it's integral to it.
