It looks great but low and mid tier items have dedicated lines only heavy modular frames and up I go sushi on but I have a massive warehouse storing every made part minus anything radioactive with 15 large containers for each item on the left side I have all my weapon ammunion storage, center I have all main items and to the right I have consumables and PPE like packaged fuel, gas filters, power shards solid biomass etc. I haven't produced everything yet I just started on weapons and leaving the final parts for the space elevator for last and not finished with the main base aesthetics yet but I'm getting close

@@Parkinwad I'm close to almost 200 hrs and yeah I feel like my pace is slower than most I get one day a week average to play unless I'm home lol but as I say there is no wrong way to play the game but a million different right ways to play lol, love the content bud! Keep it up 😁

Great blueprint but there is one negative thing: When you have the same item on two or more input lines the input lines will back up, because the sorted line will process the input lines with the same item alternately. Ignoring that its a great and expandable blueprint!

Yes, this still has its limitations for mass flow of a single item based on consolidation to a single mkV in the end. 🙂 Thanks for the comment though!

@@Parkinwad Yes, I was going to say the same thing. Despite all this work, you're still stuck with the same bottleneck as before and it will now clog up all those extra input lines you created. However, if you set the smart splitter to use "overflow" instead of "undefined", each input line won't back up when the sorted line backs up. You then only need to create enough overflow merge lines at the end to handle your max input rate - where each extra row has "any" set to the right and undefined for going forward (or just mergers if its the final extra row). Each of those rows could then be connected to a sink or sent elsewhere for further use. That would let you try and store as many input belts of items that you want.

I love this design but I need to replace the smart splitters with programmable splitters. When I do that, I can't get the conveyer lifts to align properly the way yours do (without the little extended connector part at the ends of the lifts). How are you able to build it without those? I've researched a bunch and cannot figure it out.

Check out the blueprint that I left for these in the description of the video. If you build it manually, unfortunately it is a lot of building the splitter, building the lift, building the top merger, then deleting and rebuilding the lift in order to get it to hook up to the merger up top. I had done this in the blueprint, then double checked them all to ensure they would all flow. 🙂 Not sure if your issue is specific to alignment with the programmable splitters or not.

It's necessary on a case by case basis. Not many people get far enough into the game to warrant building something like this, or even want to build something like this. The point of this was to show that if you needed a build like this, it's capable of being built, and, with blueprints, can be built in about 1/5 of the time it would have taken otherwise. It's more of a proof-of-concept than an actual necessity. 🙂 Thanks so much for your input! 😁👍
