Honestly.. your thumbnail looks much better, it's actually insane.. Thanks for all the tips, I will use some of these techniques in my upcoming photoshop projects. Is there a possibility you would make another video, but this time on how to recreate Patrick CC thumbnail? He often uses this oil-smooth face effect, but I've searched everywhere and nothing matched my expectations, so therefore I couldn't recreate it and it didn't look the same. I mostly use Hue & Saturation adjustment for shadows and highlights as I showed in the video. But sometimes, I also use other methods depending on the situation :)

There isn't any fixed setting for that. Every thumbnail needs different type of Camera Raw Filter treatment :) But one thing I can suggest is increasing clarity and texture. It really helps thumbnail to be attractive and slightly more clickable.

Your work is good but there is no way someone can follow this easily. They need to find the pictures themselves and even by using Image Search on various browser engines those same images can not be found. Leading me to think that you made those AI images yourself instead of "finding them". Many times during the shadowing and highlighting, I could not follow. Yeah, you said to do it you use a Color Fill and then Invert the Mask? I'm not sure. This is really hard to follow, I would prefer a 30min video instead at this point. To fix these issues, I would give out the base images in a .zip file so we can follow and then slow down the video way more.
