I've had other scones including Starbucks but this recipe is 100 times better then any scone I've ever bought! Truly light, moist and flaky! Mixing it how you describe is very important and "cold" butter. I'm on my second piece....Mmmmm:)

If you can find some vintage Pyrex mixing bowls they are nice and colourful although not as cute of colours. They are my favourite bowls for my baking and other mixing needs.

Recommend cracking the egg over an empty bowl just in case shell fragments fall in. Much easier to see and extract when no other ingredients are present. :) Cheers

I can tell you right now your scones are significantly better because yours are fresh. Starbucks pastries are frozen and dethawed and sometimes reheated. Love your recipes, will have to try this recipes.

Yes, you can. People usually do it this way. You can also use a pastry cutter to incorporate the butter into the flour.

Thanks for recipe! I substituted sugar with banana purée, heavy whipping cream with full fat milk and took almond flour and pink Himalayan salt for a healthier version. Also skipped the glaze part-it was also good)

Honeysuckle I always use it for smoothies,pancakes and other baking as a sweetener. It makes dish really sweet. No one can guess there’s no sugar or other sweetener
