I’m a mother of 1 & I agree. Being a mom is definitely boring af and tiring. I don’t like routines and it’s literally the same thing day in & day out. 😐 I’m 1 & done.

I often wonder if those ppl who choose parenthood (& regret it) ever did their prior research, as in talk to friend/relatives who were already parents & get the FULL SCOOP. For me, I've already seen what my friends/relatives who are parents go thru from a distance. That way, I NEVER buy into the whole "U're missing out" bullsh!t.

Plz I regret it so much. I got pregnant at 35 and people begged me not to give my son up for adoption and to drop out of my master degree program. They all told me they will help me and how being a mom is great. I regret keeping him and I did finish my master degree. However everyone who told me to keep my son haven't helped me and alot of them are horrible parents who ended up homeless.

First you can not be selfish to something that was never fertilized. Second I’m 58 and not married and past my breeding years. Never wanted to breed and loved my young adult life and looking back I had a wholesome life doing fun stuff. Not everything about being single means partying and being a whore. I’m very conservative in my private life and dated around, not screwed around.

I enjoy listening to other people’s views about life, especially when my views are different. I have a cousin and sibling who doesn’t want kids. It was hard for me to understand and hearing other people’s perspectives helps with something that doesn’t naturally resonate with me.

The pandemic reminded childfree people why they should stay childfree. Imagine a child home all day complaining about how they can't go play with their friends, go to the park, participate in extracurricular activities. They would become so annoying and depressed!

I had my children in the early and mid 90's and I loved every minute of it. But that's me. It's not for everyone and you need to be very honest with yourself, your spouse or potiental partners. And don't compromise for anyone or anything.
