Also, this lady’s son was being bullied at school and it just brought me awful memories of school back in my day and I don’t want to repeat that history including taking kids to school, even though kids are “cute” they can be mean as hell and I got not time for that BS 🙄

Yes, having children is hard. But more importantly, I think this man’s wife does not have her priorities straight. Children need love, not things, so many people think that buying children things will make them happy and that’s not so. He needs to sit down and have a serious conversation with his wife about her spending.

When I was younger, I did not want kids. Then my sister had a baby and when I saw how beautiful he was and I started thinking maybe I should have one to take care of me when I'm old. But deep down, I would get depressed whenever I would think about being a mother. Then my coworker who had 2 kids told me it's not all that its cracked up to be and my sister said I don't know lucky I am to not have any kids, she said I got away with murd@r. Now I'm older, 47 years old, and I see so many people speaking out about how much they regret having kids, I think I would have been one of those, and I'm very happy that I didn't do it. I can truly own who I am and enjoy my life.

I feel really bad for a lot of these people and for the kid. I wish it were more socially acceptable to put your kid up for adoption. There’s so many nice people out there who would do anything to have a child. As a dad of 2 small children, I hate it. I love my children and spend lots of time with them but not a day goes by when I think of my old life with no children. There is no freedom and you have 2 jobs, one regular job and then the other constant job of being a parent. I would not recommend it to anyone! I tell everybody how much it sucks and that I would not do it again even though I love them. But if somebody told me it's that hard I would have had the vasectomy just to be sure.

What is even having the right spouse? Nobody really knows how they will be, or even how the other person will be until they're there. The shift n change can literally be too much for some. It's an extremely transformative experience. Parenthood is not for the weak.. many feel alone, even when they're coupled up. I wish the best for all going into it.. the children deserve it; or stay childless

It's really sad when you hear regretfull parent stories...but it's also kinda hard to feel bad for most of them since it WAS a choice by full-grown adults (usually). I definitely feel for some folks, but when you make BIG life-changing decisions like having children and you aren't 100% on board from the beginning, I can't help but think "well, now you just gotta deal with". 🤔 I don't think we put enough emphasis on knowing ourselves and the people around us. Knowing yourself can SAVE you from certain situations. I know that I'd be annoyed, upset, and regretful if were to give birth to a child. that's just how I am.

😂 of course the software Engineer feels that way. His child is still a baby. Literally everyone feels that way until the child is around 3. That’s when they become fun and can actually say, “I love you,” and God knows what other funny stuff. My son is almost 2 and only now is he starting to be super funny and Sex is far better than it was before as we are now so connected in such a specific way. Only we two can or will ever love our child the way we do. It’s an INCREDIBLE aphrodisiac once you get past the first two to three sleep deprivation years. Of course you’re tired with a 9 month old. He can’t get on a jet ski with you yet. That first one is very common, but a little silly. If you don’t want kids don’t have them. But you can’t judge having a child on the first year. That’s like judging your career on the first few weeks😂. Of course it’s hard at first.

The first example sounds like something I’ve heard a lot. I’m ND, and oftentimes a person who is ND does ok until the child is born. Then they hit a wall and it doesn’t get better. (They didn’t know they were ND until the exhaustion set in) One man on a different channel gave an example and said “my first child was born when I was 39, and at that point I lost my ability to adult” and years later he found out he was ND. It’s too much for some.
