Tuck in your t shirts while grinding guys. When I was 14 years old I had a grinder bite the bottom of my t shirt and it rolled up all the way to my chest before I was even able to take my finger off the trigger. I’m thin like you guys are so don’t think a decent fitting shirt and a flat gut will save you.

Hey folks. Great vid! Question - could this be used to make vertical waves all around the outside of a jewelry box. I formerly made such a box using a flapper disc with a deep curved profile but sanding out the deep flapper disc grooves was VERY labor intensive! This curved carbide cutters about halfway up the turboplane curve looks like it leaves a smooth surface behind that would require a lot less sanding. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks a million!

A bit more on safety, wear a face shield, ear muffler, and a face nose mask, breathing sawdust is not good as some woods are quite toxic. As one viewer has commented, tuck in t-shirt, and anything likely to get snagged, that angle grinder will be chewing your soft front before you have time to let go the trigger, it happens, I used to work in the hospital ED and to fix up significant damage. Make the safety issues at the start of your video, it is excellent advice for your viewers even if you chose the dangerous ways. An angle grinder is not a toy. Greetings from one who knows.

Amazing demonstration! For those wondering the guard on this blade doesn't do anything! Guards were created for abrasive wheels like grinding and cutting, that can shatter and become a projectile and also to avoid injuries with the edge of the wheel. This wheel have all the cutting blades close to the edge but not right in the edge, still those blades are very dangerous and is recommended to use the guard. Now there are some other wheels that have the blades not as close of the edge as this, they are more for planning but they can dig well too; in this case the guard can be removed as there is no protection been offered here!

if your planning on doing a lot of these vids and want the audio to be super clear, invest in something like this. www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1115091-REG/rode_rodlnk_fm_rodelink_wireless_filmmaker_kit.html?ap=y&smp=y I teach golf for a living and use these mics all the time for my vids. a little pricey, but worth the money. don't buy cheaper stuff it's not as good. i've gone through 3 cheaper versions and finally did it right. nice vid.

@@jibcot8541 you are forgetting the bottom of the wheel is unprotected right! Some how you have to control it (after you lose control) to make it able to land the tool guard first on the face! 🤷🏽

The key is fatigue! As soon you feel something, stop take a brake, relax muscle and tendons and go back at it! Because you need a strong grip fatigue sets in quick, you subconsciously relax the grip and "bang" shit happen!

Using a router is easier, faster, safer than using this tool for this demonstration. This tool makes sense on carving trunks of trees. DANGER, Putting any tool near your body is dangerous, it can get caught on your shirt. Buy wood cutting tools with trigger switches that will turn off the moment something goes wrong. If you can't afford safe tools, stay away from doing carpentry, and your welcome, I probably saved your life.
