09 cars with factory nav did not have an aux input. It wasn’t introduced until 2011 for cars with nav

​@@phantomflame0658 2011 and up nav radios have a usb port and an aux port. U need the radio, the glove box, the cable for the usb and a Ray Kawal aux cable. It's plug and play after you erase the serial number in the radio you buy. The other factory option is installing an OEM PAL device and purchasing a plug and play wiring harness from Kawal but the company that used to supply the PAL for GM went out of business, so they are extremely hard to come by these days. You can find more info on Kawals Corvette mods website.

I was a GM tech during the time when this vette was new. The AUX input missing in a top of the line GM Performance vehicle was odd considering in 2009 the Chevy Cobalt BASE came with one.

"Miata has better power to weight ratio" Miata has 1 horsepower for each 13.44 pounds of weight (6.09 kilos roughly) while the C6 ZR1 has 1 horsepower for each 5.07 pounds of weight (2.3kg roughly), the miata is about 1000 pounds lighter but it still has also has like 1/3 of the power and power to weight ratio compared to the C6, however the Miata has 50-50 weight distribution but the Corvette has almost the same, 52-48. Miata is more agile car simply because of the weight, the Corvette is still really light as well though, you gotta remember that while Miata is roughly 1000 pounds lighter than the Corvette, the Corvette is 1000 pounds lighter than a Hellcat and in many cases has less power than the Corvette. The Hellcat meanwhile itself is 1000 pounds lighter than a Rolls Royce Ghost for example (the car that Matt Armstrong repaired for example), so if Miata is the "perfection" which it kinda is for it's purpose, Corvette is only one step below it in that same purpose, it's not a Miata but a Miata is not a Corvette either. Now, put a Corvette LS into a Miata and make the Thunderbolt like that one guy did, and you can say it's a better Corvette because it's Corvette power with 50-50 balance and lighter more agile body, granted i'd personally rather take the Corvette at that point, looks better than the Soft Top Miata, the Hard Top would be kinda 50-50 but it kinda just looks like a baby Supra with a roof that has it's own issues too.

Even makes the grinding noise in reverse as it spins out under load into neutral 😂 that's when it's time to definitely sell or repair. He might have licked out and got this car because the guy noticed the third gear issue and either panicked and sold the car asap, or he just knew it would get worse and didn't want to fix it so just decided to sell it while the issue wasn't so big and he could get a better deal from the sale....

I have a radio adapter for Bluetooth on my phone or ipod for music. Its super small so it fits right into the glove box. The shifter switch is a must have trust me. I ALWAYS fall in the car i say f-it and god has saw fit to protect my head and elbow so i wont complain or question it🤣 what I dont like about my corvettes is ..... the khaki shorts/ sketcher shoes/ dad hat old guy jokes. But they never line up at the end of the day 🤣 I love my C6/C7Z/C8Z wouldnt trade them for anything less than a ZR1 built.

Check/change your clutch fluid often. It gets worn out pretty quick from heat. You can just do the turkey baster and swap it from the reservoir and/or put in the tick master cylinder in. And is there not an auxiliary port in the console? My 11 GS has it

These Corvettes the only problems that they have that's kind of annoying is the accelerator pedal for some reason they start to go bad and your car will go into a limp mode the second thing that goes bad on these cars is the body control module the second thing from these cars for some reason the paint in the hood will start to peel off the second thing that breaks on these cars are the cup holders the cover will start to crack and break apart because I have a base model C6

It's not as simple as you put it to make 1000whp with the ZR1. I love it, but it DOES take some work to make that power and let it live there. Porting the blower and pulleying down with a cam will bring you somewhere close to 750 wheel. Nobody ever said that isn't a lot of power. Doing headers, upgraded pump and some meth will bring you closer. Also, since cali has sht for pump gas, ethanol is your main option with meth. injection.

I know why it doesn't shift to 3rd gear. When you're getting on it and you're shifting the engine torques it moves, the transmission is connected to the engine so when the engine torques it will not allow you to shift to 3rd gear freely. If you drive it normal it will shift to 3rd gear with no problem 😎😎😎😎😎. This is an easy fix, engine mounts will keep the engine from moving so you'll be able to throw it into third gear with no problem. Do not buy polyurethane motor mounts they are crap 💩🚽 P.S. Norberg ring lap time for the Corvette is 6 minutes and 56 seconds.😎😎😎😎😎

The low ride is normal. I have a Pontiac Fiero- driving experience is simaler as far as dragging your ass on the ground goes. Interesting thing is my legs are almost straight out when driving. It very comfortable actually and my back does not hurt at all compared to some other cars. GM can get some things right some of the time lol.

#1. The Radio. Plugin upgades and addaptors. #2. Third Gear. You answered your own question. It is a GM Product. They go lowest bidder on everything unless they can recycle a part from something older. You can probably use the same fuel filter on a Brand New truck that was on a truck from the 70s. #3. It is low. That goes with Aerodynamics. They want to make the car as low as possible. Go drive your truck for about a mmonth with it being a half of a foot too tall, you will welcome your low car. #4. The nose is too long. That is from all of the extrta carap that has to go onto the car because the Government saays it has to be there. (A back-up cam wasn't Standard?) #4-A. When the Nissan 300ZX came out, the recent Corvette was it's competitor and the ONLY reason the 'Vette couldn't beat it is because it was rev-limited. #5. Computers that don't let you have the most fun with the car. Because most of the people that buy High-end cars act like they are profession Racecar drivers. Exhibit A - AA new Challenger, Charger Hellcat that is crashed. Exhibit B - A Mustang in a crash of a driver in the same category. There should be a license that states that someone has taken special driving claasses before they can buy on of these. Or at least prove they can handle what they have before bringing it into the Public.

If it was me I would have just been happy with getting a C7 Grand Sport if you couldn't afford the C7 ZR1 the 2010 zr1's are cool but people have already pretty much built them to the max I think there's just more possibilities with the C7 ZR1 plus they look so much better personally I would have much rather have had the McLaren even with the maintenance bills and all that
