I had the opportunity to teach Tyler for one lesson in my mission and let me tell you. This is such an amazing story of his and I am so so proud of him for everything. To see how happy he is and returning back to the best version of himself finding his faith is so amazing and one of the best gifts of the gospel that we can experience today.

I love 💕 his suggestions on not jumping immediately. The fruits of the gospel are massive and the doubts are rather small in comparison. And writing down spiritual experiences from the past helps to bring back the times the Lord reached out with His spirit, intervened with people's goodness and fulfilled important experiences that cannot be denied. THANKYOU for sharing your return to the gospel! Many will be touched by your experience!

You can do this, brother! And you +will+ do it if you look to Jesus Christ as your help. I think it isn't much emphasized, but the Holy Ghost, as God the Spirit, loves you immeasurably too, and continually does and will do all in His power to help you succeed to find the ultimate, eternal happiness.

Tyler...Never Say Never !!! I have a similar experience. 5/17/2023 , if someone had told me I would rejoin the church I would have said NO WAY !! 5/18/2023 a couple missionaries came up on my porch. I have lived in my city for 9 yrs and have manage to be left alone !! I was a GOLDEN convert, baptized on 3/23/1993. I had 2 sons 4 yrs old and not quite 2 ( they are now 35 & 32 !! ). I walked , talked , lived and breathed the LDS Church for 15 yrs. Then through a myriad of reasons I left the Church in April 2008. By October 2008 I had my name removed from the rolls, since I had been an RS President for 4 yrs I knew leaving my name on the rolls would cause home & visiting teachers to be assigned and I didnt want anybody to bother trying to talk me into returning. There is ALOT more to the story, but I'll sum it up by saying June 28th, 2023, 30 years and 3 months to the day of my original baptism, I was rebaptized and I couldn't be MORE thrilled !!!

My story started out kind of like Tyler's. I came home from my mission after 3 months. My parents and future mother in law welcomed me home with open arms and no judgment. One year later sealed to my wife in the Temple. I recently celebrated my 50th wedding anniversary. Everyone's story is different on the Covenant path. I loved what he said "just keep ministering".

Tyler, I'm happy to hear that you returned to your Faith. This Faith holds you close to your Father in Heaven... as long as we keep our Baptismal and temple covenants. this is key to be blessed by God and to receive increased understanding of the Gospel. Part of this wonderful gospel includes the Grace of Jesus Christ. This is a power beyond our own. Our Father in Heaven wants you to succeed. We all have weaknesses that we can overcome. this is the real work of this Gospel. These weaknesses are present for us to be humble. However if we ignore, neglect our just deny our weaknesses, then we rob ourselves from our Father in Heavens divine work in our life. He wants us to overcome, rise above, break through our own trials of this life. but if we press forward in Faith, while we ask our Father in Heaven for help, miracles can Happen. I understand that we need to begin by trusting in His power to heal us, compassion for our trials and Supreme love that he has for us. when we trust God we can ask him for help. He will bless us in things that are Good for us. Pray humbly to our Father in Heaven to help us in those things that we are struggling with. and then Listen to promptings. this interchange between God and ourselves, is part of the Gospel. Personal revelation is part of the Plan of Salvation. We are all entitled for answers from deity. directly, personally. He is ever-present and cognitive to our situations in real time. as we Sanctify ourselves, purify ourselves this connection with God becomes more and more clear. what you will find may be that he will use all truth to teach you. Stay close to the doctrine of our church. I testify that our Father in Heaven has restored this Great Church to earth in these latter days. I love this church. the fullness of it is available to us as we continue to worship our Father in Heaven. Allow the Atoning blood of Jesus Christ to wash your sins from you. Free yourself from what ever is beseeching you. Repent, from your weaknesses. Grow as a Saint in truth and light. continue in Light. hold on to it. Leave darkness behind, never look back to it. then you can be blessed with Peace that this world cannot give. Good Luck on all our your Spiritual Journeys. God Bless you all.

God's truth is right for everyone. There is no relative truth, but God's truth contains more broadly things than we can know or see now. The test of our faith is to move forward (towards Jesus) anyway, no matter how little or much we see. Tyler's experiences and testimony on Ether 12:6 emphasize how easy it is to forget and block out that this life is intended by God to be a trial of our faith. Who gets celestial blessings and glory while in this life? Not even Jesus did, as His faith had to be tried too, before His blessings could be received! Don't need to know you to love you, Preston! Just prayed for you, too :) Hang in there! You (and God) have this!

Overarching...I am a child of God and He loves. Excellent point! Foundational. There are so many discrepancies right now, but there is the truth about every question and the answer to every question will come when we work to seek the truth. Truth is independent in it's own sphere. Seek each truth out diligently. He wants to teach us line upon line. When we are ready we will work for it. The reward of knowing the Truth about something is its own reward.

I hope my daughter makes this choice. She has children with autism and she left the church because she discovered someone has placed her son in a room alone because he was a distraction. When she spoke to her Bishop and Stake President, there was nothing for her children. So she tried to introduce it, she tried to help, they rejected her and her ideas, she just gave up. 😭

Your income, your Sundays = your life, yes? Do you think the earth is yours alone, too? Or maybe you think life is a random accident? Do you believe in God at all, that God is Good, perfect, love, truth, and the Creator? And if so, do you believe even the common Bible, including the ten commandments? These questions can remain rhetorical, if you prefer. I suspect that you do believe these things, or why would you have watched this video and commented what you did? My mother has repeatedly told me, "That which I know, I treasure. That which I don't know, I trust [to God]." I would love to dialog with you about any specific concerns, because I might be able to help, but my mother's quote, Tyler's testimony, my own experience and more lead me to +choose+ belief and faith, even though my mind knows there are other rational choices. Randy, will you read and pray about Alma 32, reflect on your own spiritual experiences, and choose again at least to desire to believe (verse 27)? I just prayed for you to have and feel the desire to believe. Love you, brother!

@jc72outdoors
@jc72outdoors Жыл бұрын
@@GlenLawlor Thank you. I was confused because he mentioned chapter 11 and there is no chapter 11. Here is an answer to this question from a Bible app I have. Christ is the cornerstone, and the church was built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. Once the foundation was complete, the building project moved forward with evangelists and pastors and teachers. Evangelists are those who proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to those who don’t yet know Him. Pastors and teachers are those who are leading in the church, especially by the teaching of the Word of God to those who do know Jesus. Both roles are needed as the church continues to be built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. It is important to note that, once the foundation is laid, it is not laid again. The gifts of the apostles and prophets were foundational and necessary in the early days of the church, but their purpose has been completed.

@randyjordan5521 Randy, do you believe and accept the Bible, including Moses' experiences? Who saw the burning bush with Moses? No one. The Israelites just had to take his word for it, same as latter-day saints with Joseph Smith. When did Moses write his books and account of the burning bush, and might he have written more than one account? We don't know. How did Moses know so much detail about Adam and Eve, the Fall, and especially, specific dialog they had in the Garden of Eden? By copying existing books like Nephi reciting Isaiah, by translation of records, by direct revelation? And consider too how the Lord, while physically present with the Israelites in the wilderness, veiled His presence with a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night = again, the Israelites directly experienced little and had to go through and trust Moses' experiences. If you believe and trust the Bible record of Moses, how did that happen for you? Please, reflect on this and tell me. And if you don't believe the Bible and its account of Moses, would you please have the courtesy not to poo-poo on the faith and beliefs of latter-day saints or try to tell us what your contrary version of truth is? Do active, faithful latter-day saints' worship and practices personally harm you, or something, is why you-not being Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, or contemporary confidants of theirs-speak as if you even can personally, logically or historically know things that you cannot know, unless God reveals it to you? I will end with quoting a recent, favorite scripture of mine, 1 Corinthians 2:14: "But the natural [secular, scientific, historical, archaeological, etc.] man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." If you think the truth of the Church of Jesus Christ can be known by any secular means, no different than for the Israelites to know the truth of Moses' experiences, you simply deny the way God has ordained for us to learn/gain spiritual knowledge, and I would ask you to stand down and stop criticizing others' faith.
@randyjordan5521
@randyjordan5521 Жыл бұрын
@@LiveHappy76 " Randy, do you believe and accept the Bible, including Moses' experiences?" LOL. Of course not. That's just 2300 year old myths from primitive people. "If you think the truth of the Church of Jesus Christ can be known by any secular means, no different than for the Israelites to know the truth of Moses' experiences, you simply deny the way God has ordained for us to learn/gain spiritual knowledge, and I would ask you to stand down and stop criticizing others' faith." Sorry, I'd rather discuss actual facts of history. The facts clearly show that Mormonism is a fraud from its very origins. it was founded by a man who began his public career as an occult folk-magic con artist. He was convicted of fraud charges on March 20, 1826. That conviction is what spurred him to alter his con game from folk-magic to a Christian-based plot. That is why and when he began making claims about angels and golden plates in 1827. He made up his claim of his 1820 "first vision" with God and Jesus in 1832, 12 years after it supposedly occurred. There is zero evidence to support that claim. There was no angel Moroni and no golden plates. The WHOLE THING is a fraud, and Joseph Smith is still defrauding you today.
