this is the first plasti dip ps5 that looks absolutely incredible, other videos are very splotchy and inconsistent in layers but yours looks amazing, kind of sad to see it go

Nice man. Im thinkin of doing this with mine. Do i need a black base coat before a colour at all? Never used this stuff before
@adamninja3 жыл бұрын
No, you don't really need a base coat. Just a super light layer to start it off. And the more layers you do, the easier it peels off after. Mine was 4 layers for the top and 3 for the bottom. My second time painting it, I upped both of those to 5 and 4. And added glossifier to make it shine.

Thank you for that now it’s my turn. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿✌🏿

hey guy, I didn't watch the full video, but I learned this dipping my motorbike. that back section would come off a lot easier if you painted the whole thing so it peels.

Yeah for sure. I call that out in the vid too

I want to Plasti dip my PS5 panels too, what prevents me on doing so is that I'm scared that if I leave the plasti dip on the panels for a long time and decided to remove it, that it may somehow leave pigments on the panel.. What are your thoughts on this?
@adamninja3 жыл бұрын
mine were on for 45ish days, no pigment left. you could try doing a flat white base coat though and then dip over that
@typekita90983 жыл бұрын
@@adamninja thank you for your reply👌🏼 I've already watched your vid on that😅

For arguments sake...could you just spray more in it so it’s a solid spray and peel it off rather than all this maticulous stuff? U stated it would be easier to peel if it was a thicker coat?
@adamninja3 жыл бұрын
would be 100% easier to peel off with a thicker layer. the second one I did I also zoned off the little nubs on the back to make removal easier
@TJ.853 жыл бұрын
Watched many others who did the inside as well and obviously used much more layers (same as outside) they peeled off with little issue. I recommend either masking inside off or doing a bunch of layers for sure . Forget this mess lol

Sooo if i customer’s mime with spry it would do anything to my ps5 yeah?
@adamninja3 жыл бұрын
yeah, it'll be ok. but I only recommend using Plasti-Dip and not regular spray paint
@RollerCoasteraddict3 жыл бұрын
Will this also work if i used regular spray paint???
@jaylenevans7783 жыл бұрын
Nah you need plastidip. Plastidip is the only material that allows you to be able to go back to white. Its usually at walmart
@LeBrulox4 жыл бұрын
I have a question sir. If you applied more spray layers on the panels, would it be easier to remove the plast dip afterwards?
@adamninja4 жыл бұрын
Yeah definitely. I talk about that a bit in the video. Would also work better to zone off areas on the back to prevent overspray. I'll do a cleaner one soon
@chilldon263 жыл бұрын
Did you paint it a different color after this?

I did. I tried out a stencil and glossifier. kzbin.info/www/bejne/poOnXmBrnKt7pKM

Next time you do it do more coats the thicker it is the easier it is to peel off in the end! You can also mask off the tabs

yeah, spot on. i call that out a few times in the video.

Second time I've seen this kind of massive reaction. Do people think paint is made of ice cream? Have they never used paint? Never seen heavily customized console? People should really stop talking when they don't know what they're talking about. It is OKAY to not know about something. It however is not to talk about it before educating yourself.

I loved your first video but I absolutely hate this one. You’re literally pouring WD40 down in the sink. WD40 is petroleum based and not environmentally friendly.
@adamninja4 жыл бұрын
I've never heard about that with wd40 but I'm glad you brought it up, because it wasn't even considered. I've always heard of people using it to clean/declog their sinks and pipes and even clean toilet rust, no? As well as make small sink baths to clean certain auto parts. I'll have to research it though.
