The Sims needs to add a "Gut lot" option to the Bulldoze options. That would delete all the furnishings but leave the wallpapers and floors, like you've gutted a house for renovations! Would for sure save time deleting everything.

Awesome idea! I think something like this wouldn't be too difficult since this is already an option when moving a household into an existing lot either furnished or unfurnished (=gutted). The Sims team would just need to add this feature into the regular b&b bulldozing menu as well.

I think they already do, when you go to a new lot (a residential) your sim has the option to get it furnished, unfurnished, or bulldozed.

This is a fun build! It reminds me of co-ops in the San Francisco Bay Area. A bunch of people share a space, like a converted building, and take care of each other like a little community. They grow their own food and usually make art.

To answer the question about building apartments, it was definitely possible in TS3 - I used to do it all the time, albeit with some cheats being used in game for the "unused room" markers.

😅 I renovated the library too but kept it a library/community building as the world really needs it. I pretended that the town got a big grant or donation. Because I considered it a historical building I refused to do any major shape changes... though I did allow for some window & door changes since it would he hard to duplicate them. It's still a library but updated more into a community center. I too filled in the sewer but the weather is so bad I pretended to fill it into an elongated fishing pond.

I really like the idea of the slightly different brick on the new walls. These bricks are new, clean, and perfectly shaped The original wall is grimy, worn, and old. To me it makes sense.
