a good note for light switches is to always put them on the side of the door with a handle or the wall closest, as that's how it is in real life so you can turn it on as soon as you enter a room.

This reminded me of when you used to make household for the builds you did in sims 3. I know it takes more time and it’s not practical for every build, but I would be excited to see some more builds for existing families or families you create.

City Living is one of my favorites, too. I think it’s honestly really underrated. Not a lot of stand-outs in build/buy (in my opinion..just not my style), but there’s a lot of wonderful gameplay features that I use in EVERY SINGLE SAVE. I can’t say that for any other pack except Eco Lifestyle and Seasons. It’s rare! I wish it got more love. :)

I find apartment builds easier to do for two seasons: 1) I've always lived in apartment and have an easier time understanding the space and 2) I don't have think about the exterior at all. 😁

I will say, no matter how much I play Sims, I ALWAYS go back to the apartments, I love apartments, in Sims 3 and 4. Something about it is so perfect to me! Like I'm living vicariously through the extravagant or eccentric apartments I make or download from the gallery!

Yeah I see what you mean, most people are renting smaller homes like apartments these days. So it kind of has more relatability than a big house block in a spacious area!

Brent and Brant will forever have a special place in my heart. I had a sim, he moved to their neighborhood and opened a vet clinic. He wasn't very good at social interactions and had a hard time finding friends. But then Brent and Brant showed up in his clinic with their dog. After the treatment they started chatting and my sim really seemed to like them. They came over a few days later, my sim cooked for them and they stayed all day. I didn't interfere. I just let them on full autonomy and watched how their friendship evolved. When Brent and Brant went home my sim had two new friends and he was so happy! I really enjoyed this. The three of them stayed friends their whole lives, Brent and Brant adopted two children, my sim finally found a wife and married her, they had three children and all the children grew up together. The day Brent or Brant, I don't remember who went first, died was one of the saddest days. They all died eventually, my sims wife was the last one. I never played on that save again.

"why are you putting the light switches BEHIND the doors!!! you have to close the door to turn the lights on/off... would never want that IRL.... lol... I think the card on the glasses/watch stand is a calendar 📅 🤔 I didn't realise that room existed either when I first built there 😂 wasn't until I moved a sim in! 🤦‍♀️ It became the apartment equivalent of a garage, decorations box, some plant pots/skill items 😂😂

hey deli! i have some advice for placing your door knobs(if you’re trying to make it as realistic/logical as possible), put them on the side of the knob instead of the hinges. i know sims dont use them but when you walk into a room, it’s better to have the switch right there rather than walking around the door swing to turn on/off lights! :)

I really like the reno!! I don't know about outside of the US, but in the US the light switches are normally on the side of the door that opens, but the fact that you're using them is a big thing so do what you want :)

I am so happy for you! Did you know you can't keep chickens happy and clean without the weather pack. I just finally got cottage living. I love gardening and don't want to be limited to when I can grow stuff so I never wanted the weather pack. I can't afford to buy everything anyway. Well you need rain or a sprinkler to keep chickens clean. Both options are only in the Weather pack. 💔😢 I am so broken hearted.

I think this is a nice switch since many of the last packs haven't had the same kind of industrial vibe. Personally, felt like the black wall in the kitchen was too dark, but I really loved the dark green in the living room paired with the bricks. I love exposed bricks, it's nice living vicariously through the Sims since I don't have the house for it.

The price all depends on the size if your having other people do everything or if your gonna do some things and the price of all the things you want in there it can be easy to do a bathroom cheap if your handy and r fine with Craigslist and fb finds but ya I think people usually say a bathroom and kitchen r most expensive bathroom being like 10-20 k especially if your making it bigger or moving things
