I really hope you get up and running to a point where everyone who had reserved a Tesla Semi cancels their reservation so they can buy your truck. Edit: What is it with people that have this idea that I think Edison motors is going to become a major manufacturer over night? He will eventually reach a point where his company has actually gone into production, and I'll bet money that Tesla will still be working on trying to fill out 5+ year old reservations for their semi trucks by the time Edison Motors has officially gone into production. That's if Tesla is even still making their truck. Real chance that Tesla will abandon the truck, and a lot of reservations will never be filled. Or they will come out with a new "improved" version, and once again make a lot of claims that end up not being true. 10 years down the road though, Edison Motors could end up taking business from Tesla. Also, a lot of you Tesla fanboys need to realize. Tesla is a multi-BILLION dollar company with thousands of workers. Hundreds of people who work together to create a car/truck. You're an idiot if you think the small team at Edison Motors should be comparable to Tesla when it comes to how quick it is for something to be made. Tesla can literally throw 100 million at R&D and make something completely new in a few years. Edison Motors can't do that, they don't have that kind of money, or nearly as many people. So long as he keeps with quality/functionality over making a buck though, he'll end up releasing a truck that actually performs as advertised, and is actually dependable. He won't have to pay critics/car reviewers to give/make good reviews.

I'm a HUGE fan of Elon Musk's SpaceX and honestly think they are the future of space travel. I honestly hope the best for SpaceX and Musk's dream of getting to Mars. I do NOT think the same of Tesla. And I think the entire concept of purely electric vehicles is a waste of time and a net NEGATIVE for the environment. If you have ANY idea of the amount and types of rare earth's and POISONS it takes to make lithium batteries - which have on occasion proven to be FIREBOMBS that are VERY difficult to extinguish. AND - if you have any idea of the amount of infrastructure it would take to properly support an economy RUNNING on electric vehicles, then if you look at the efficient, powerful internal combustion engine running gas OR diesel - and all the incredible advances in efficiency and pollution control that have steadily made them cleaner and more robust through the decades, then you know that the IC engine is STILL king. And will REMAIN King well into the next century and beyond. I like that Elon is trying. But I would never buy a Tesla. Now if Tesla made HYBRIDS. MAYBE I might be tempted. But I'd have to look at that balance carefully. Overall - I think Elon Musk himself is a net benefit to society. PARTICULARLY in his acquisition of Twitter and his (Mostly) solid support of free speech. Oh - and any guy who lobs an entire CAR into space on a test flight just for shits and giggles is OKAY in my book! HA!! 🤣

Yeah he always compares his truck to a full electric. He does realize he has a truck that uses a diesel too, and isn't constrained by batteries. Batteries are only now becoming good enough. When I say now I mean factories are in the process of being built. There are a few 500kw/kg right now which are nearly double what Tesla is using in their semi. By the time Edison gets a factory. He's going to lose market share himself to full EVs. For some companies 600 miles or so is enough to offset charging times which are supposed to be under 20 minutes(for cars), but dependant on chargers. That is a lot of money saved.
