I'd say the common denominator is that more eastern aligned countries are getting focus trees as recently russia, transnistria, donestk, crimea, chechnya, turkey, Iran, belarus, Egypt, Georgia, azerbaijan and Armenia, central asia, India, Venezuela etc have all gotten updates. The common factor is that all of these countries at least flirt with Russia and China.
