In 1971, in the NH winter, I was shoveling snow. Out of nowhere came a big German shepherd dog with his eye on the 5 kittens. He was serious and dangerous. My mother cat sort of flew into the air, landed on that dogs back, and she rode him like a bronco. He screamed like a kindergarten girl, and ran off. I was in shock, the kittens were in shock, I`m sure the dog was in shock. My mother cat must have been very proud of herself. Those kittens were about 5 months old. I seriously thought I was going to watch them be chewed to death in front of my eyes. So never underestimate a cat. Just sayin`. Thanks for the stickers by the way.

I had to pull my cat off a dog once for the same reason, even though the dog was in a different room than the kittens. Felt bad for the dog, but also happy to know she was such a good momma. She was my soul cat, she’s been gone for more than 25 years and I still miss her ♥️

My friend had a cat for YEARS and one day the cat bite the back of her hand and she came pretty close to losing that hand. She actually almost died from it. She ended up in the hospital for over a week and they had to cut skin away. It was a mess. Plus cats with teeth and claws, against a dog, this is why dogs are afraid of cats. Size has NOTHING to do with it.
