Great video and great explanations Coleton! You are very thorough in the way you explain things and I have always appreciated that from you. Also, I’m very happy to see you had an overall excellent experience with the CLEAN By Pan Ceramic Coating. To answer a question you had in the video, in some conditions, you might get an immediate rainbowing effect, but make sure you still wait a full 1-2 min before wiping, as per the instructions. The coating rainbows very quickly because it is quite reactive, but think of that more like a skin that is forming. On a coating that is lower solids it won’t be so pronounced, but because this coating is quite thick there’s still a lot more wet coating under that “skin”. So you wait that 1-2 min to give it time to set properly. Also, the coating is very forgiving. You could even leave it 3-4 min on the surface and it would still wipe off easily. If after 1-2 min you feel you are pushing the coating around, simply wait a little longer before wiping. Wipeoff should feel very easy and slick as you experienced. One bottle will allow you to coat two average size cars. So as you saw, a little goes a very long way. On the windshield, I recommend two layers, 45-60 min between layers. Glass has a tendency to absorb a lot of product and with wiper abrasion, two layers is usually best for most glass coatings. Quick note: as good as the hydrophobic properties were after one day of curing, they get even better after a full week. :) Also keep in mind its tremendous vakue for money. You don’t have to buy multiple coatings for all the different surfaces. Here, one bottle allows youbto coat paint, glass, wheels, plastics, lights, PPF, vinyl wraps, even metal. Makes your process more efficient too as you don’t have to switch bottles or ways to apply. I wish you continued success with your channel!

Appreciate you as always Pan! I think it’s time to do this on my personal car, and give it the full test! Thanks for taking the time to respond, I’ll definitely implement the tips on the next coating. It’s great to see how little fuss there is with this coating!

I just put the 8 year on our Model Y and it really turned out great. I put it on every surface of the vehicle and I couldn't be happier with it. For me I liked the thickness of the product and I didn't have the issues with it getting everywhere. I applied it a few weeks ago and the temperature at the time of applying it was between 64 and 66 degrees in our garage. Thank you Coleton....

Love your channel. I was a bit skeptical at first of this review as you have an upcoming collaboration with Pan. I do like Pan as well and his channel. But you did a fine unbiased review here with pros and cons. Of course time will tell. I do have Pan’s 3 yr costing I’ll install when it warms up. So far his shampoo is great in the foamer and I’m impressed with the tire coating. Good work and glad you are staying objective.

This is honestly the best review of the 8 yr coating imo. You touched on the single thing that’s kept me from pulling the trigger on this. The test of time. Durability. With so many awesome products available on the market today that have a proven track record, I’m leaning toward holding off. The initial attributes of this coating tbh look amazing. The fact it can be used on all surfaces is what attracts me the most. The water action is craaaaazy! Overall the versatility of being able to apply to multiple surfaces, the deep rich gloss and hydrophobics have me excited to see durability reviews in the future. Dope video bro, keep em coming!!
@OutofSpecDetailingКүн бұрын
I’d highly recommend giving it a shot. I have no hesitation using it on my own vehicles, my only hesitation is using it on my customers vehicles that I’m not sure of the durability. At the end of the day, if it does fail prematurely you are only out a few hundred bucks and some fun detailing! I do believe this coating will last a substantial amount of time, BUT like I said it’s highly variable.

I applied Pan's 3 year ceramic coating in a garage with a low temperature of about 50F and a high humidity of 80%. It gave from 2 to 5 minutes of time after applying to large panels. The leveling felt grabby, but in the end, slickness passed. This was the first experience of applying a ceramic coating and I think it is good. I don't know how these conditions will affect the result and longevity, but the first car wash a week after application was a pleasure, no high spots even after one leveling towel

Another excellent video, Colton. It’s refreshing to see positive reviews after Pan’s rather arrogant and boastful CLEAN launch. If you want to learn how NOT to launch your product line, follow Pan’s footsteps. However, in my opinion, PTO has been vindicated by the reviews that support his claims at launch. I like the 50/50 coating challenge between CLEAN and GYEON. Let’s see some product updates in the next 6 months, 12 months, 24 months, and so on. Time will tell, but no coating is going to last 8 years unless it’s at the Smithsonian.

For dyi users I wish manufacturers would offer a smaller bottle, say 17ml. I have applied coatings to like 5 cars over the years and always end up throwing away half the product. I have coated all my tool boxes and even some tools to just use up product before it crystallizes.

Great video! Best one of this coating I’ve seen yet. I’ll be using the coating soon and will be my first time using a coating of any kind. As a DIYer, what should we use the extra coating for? I think I remember seeing it doesn’t make sense to put two layers on the paint. Does it for the wheels or windshield?
@PanTheOrganizerКүн бұрын
It’s a one layer coating. But on the windshield, I would recommend 2 layers (45-60 min between layers). Glass absorbs a lot of product plus with the mechanical abrasion of wipers, two layers of a glass coating is usually the best way to do this. On the rest of the glass one layer is enough. You should be able to coat two average sized cars with one bottle.
@BryanRushingКүн бұрын
Thanks Pan as always! How about 2 layers on the wheels? Does it matter if the wheels are painted vs aluminum? Also, does it matter if the temps drop below the recommended temperatures during the initial 24 hours or week curing time? Or is it just for the initial application?
@PanTheOrganizerКүн бұрын
@@BryanRushingYou could apply two layers on the wheels, but that would be more to ensure you got proper coverage. It wouldn’t do anything more in terms of durability. Also keep in mind durability on surfaces other than clear coat won’t be the same. Coatings on wheels typically last 1-2 years at best due to the type of environment. Same applies to the windshield. And Coleton did a great job explaining durability claims in terms of all the variables: prep, application, mileage, garage kept vs kept outside in the elements, maintenance, etc. It’s also very important to follow the instructions including the temperature range. If the temperature outside is freezing when you are applying, you want to keep the vehicle indoors for at least 12 hours at the recommended range (above 50F, and ideally as close to 68-72F). The 1 hour curing only applied if the temperatures outside are not freezing. Of course, the longer you let it sit indoors for the first 24 hrs is always best case scenario. But after that, it can be driven in freezing temperatures no problem.

The car looks amazing. Daily driver is coated with Gyeon MOHS Evo. I have a garage king 2012 Infinity M37X that was coated four years ago. It is still beading perfectly well. I’ve recently purchased Pan’s 8 year coating and the panel prep and will polish to abrade the current coating and apply it to all exterior surfaces and whatever is left over will be applied to door jams and engine compartment. As long as the wipe off is easy, I will not mind the quick flash time. My garage is heated.👍🏾 MOHS Evo was easy to apply, but, flash time was just too fast.

This type of marketing strategy involves using celebrity endorsement or influencer marketing, where a known figure like Pan the Organizer promotes a product. In this case, Pan the Organizer created Clean, a product based on his preferences. However, while it may have qualities he enjoys, it isn’t necessarily the best on the market. This phenomenon often focuses more on leveraging the influencer's reputation rather than the product’s actual superiority or uniqueness. Get over it. The detailing business is a tough world.
@MegaFregel20 сағат бұрын
Pan was one of the first detailer on KZbin I followed and I really appreciated the work he put in for his end of the year line up. But I really soon realized he would promote anything if you just gave him enough money. At the time all these new products were shooting up he just copy and pasted his reviews going for quantity of quality and putting no effort or time to really review the product just throwing climax after climax in there no matter how bad the product performed. So no more Pan the salesman for me.

@MegaFregel - You've got that right. For that reason I stick with Apex, Miranda detailing(!). DIY detailing does a very good job as a brand with really great products. PTO ... nope.

Nice to see the rest of the detail world finally doing reviews on PTOs stuff. Overall the reviews have been great. It means a lot more when others tell me how great you are than yourself. For now I’ve got all my vehicles coated in the Adam’s ecosystem, but who knows in time.
