That's true, and easy to do as they are making each dish fresh - you want a certain ingredient added or left out it is simple for them to do !

Having see your video it prompted me to have a closer inspection of the menu online. Then found there is one just down the road from me. Low and behold the one item I wanted to try is not on their menu. Shucks! I wanted to try the shirodashi pork belly ramen. Will have to try another town then. Great video and what a strange set up. I can just imagine if you ordered the whole meal and the dessert came first.

Not been in years, I remember having to queue to get in in the early 90s when it first opened. We used to get the train into London and make a beeline for Bloomsbury - amazing to think that big bowls of Ramen really were so new back then, unless you'd been to Japan it was like nothing you'd had before.

I have never been to one of these Wagama chains, however, after seeing this review I am sure I would really enjoy it. Lots of choice and it all looked like the correct temperature, unlike cold tender stem broccoli. I was hoping the fountain would go on 😂🤣😅👍

The starter/entree, main course and desert concept is a very Western thing. In Asia there are different dishes but it doesn't really make any difference at what time they come out. But because most dishes are wok fried, boiled or have already been on the go for hours, the dishes come out like machine gun bullets. That Sambal dish is a complete misnomer. Sambal which is mainly just chillies, is a condiment or if fried into a meal will make it damn hot - tomatoes are no part of Sambal.

Same with breakfast, lunch and dinner. A Western thing. In Asia they can eat Congee (porridge) for lunch and Pho or spicy noodles for breakfast. There's no "breakfast" or "lunch/dinner" specifics.

I was in a Wagamma by Holborn station in London about a month ago. Those items were not yet available except the Pad Thai, which I had. I loved the Pad Thai however. They have a location near where I work in NYC, I'll see if they have the new items. Thanks Greeno!

Yrs ago, my Mum was visiting family in England and went to Wagamama. She loved it. It opened here in Ireland and my nephew loved it. I went there once and honestly can't see why people love it. Nice Gyoza, but the mains (Pork Ramen) was average.

I like Wagamama - the food is always prepared fresh. I tried some of the new items on the menu with the exception of the Spoonz sambal. Katsu curry is my normal go to, but I went with the chicken firecracker last time and it was pretty spicy and I like my spicy food. The firecracker wings were very sticky, but bone out so you don't have to use your fingers. The fact that the food is cooked to order and arrives as it is cooked always makes it seem totally fresh. £90 plus tip for 3 sharers, two mains, two deserts and alcoholic drinks is pretty good value these days.

Yeah, I think as the chain restaurants go Wagas is a good option - as you say it always seem a bit fresher than some others, and whilst not inexpensive, very few places are these days!

Another recommendation for you, try finding a good Korean Fried Chicken restaurant.Korean Fried Chicken is another level. I was recently in Korea and Fried Chicken and beer restaurants are very popular.

I had to look Wagamama up as i have never heard of them but apparently they did operate restaurants here in Australia but went into liquidation years ago.I can only imagine they failed because we have a very strong Asian food presence here and they found it impossible to make a lasting impact.A good review and the food looked ok.

I've never been to Wagamama. As someone who grew up in SE Asia it's always looked to me like a restaurant version of a Vesta curry: a pale British imitation of the real thing which I don't really see the point of. Your good review hasn't changed that opinion.

😂Never heard of them 😂mind i only know the usual never traveled 😂or had the money for other then the norm 😂i went to a local fish n chip Restaurant in my town of Newton Abbot ❤i had The OAP special at £9.80 thats all freshly cooked all fresh fish as they are a fish merchant❤i had home made Cod Bites ❤with lovely fresh cooked Chips ❤pot of Tea with extra hot water ❤so lots of Tea Jacksons Fish & Chips ❤ 😂then i went to the indulgence Tea Shop for home made yummy warm Apple cake with Vanilla ice cream and flat white Coffee super yummy £7.90 worth it both places excellent service ❤Friendly ❤enjoyed it ❤

Late to the party 😁 Never been to WGM’s Looked pretty average food wise & the decor is very ‘school dinners/canteen’ I was reading it was owned by the group who owned Frankie & Benny’s so not surprising it’s a bit mediocre It must’ve been great ‘back in the day’ under the original owner Thx for your efforts G & look forward to Ireland Know it well! ☘️

Very good review. Never tried this chain of restaurants. To be honest it looks like you are eating in a canteen and the food is just thrown at you. I won’t be trying the restaurant because half of eating out is the ambience.

Hi not to be that person but you say it's unusual for all the savoury dishes to be served at once, in my experience I'm eating in Chinese restaurants it's quite common for most of the dishes to be served at once and everybody share them and so is he availability of green tea you also We're holding the Japanese Cup wrong under and you know that because I watched Karate Kid yesterday you're supposed to hold it with your palm underneath your thumb holding the side

@@GreenoEatsI am glad I found your channel. I saw you with Gary Eats on a few. I am an American who loves London and visits often. I’ll be there again this Christmas and New Yrs. You do a nice job with the reviews. I have gone to Wagamama for many yrs. Last yr New Years Eve plans changed and I was able to takeaway from the location near St Pauls. Most places on that immediate area were closed. On my trip I’ll try some of your highly rated places and Gary.
