Almost everything, maybe apart from the onion rings, are thinking outside of the box. In a very good way. The bacon gravy is genius. There's a lot of thought gone into this food and the ingredient quality and cooking is excellent.

Yes, that what I liked - it's not just a menu of things people thing they should do cos it's a burger joint. The range of burgers was great, the specials too, and the wings etc. were good quality and well seasoned and cooked.

Another great food review. Come, Watson! The Game is Afoot! OKAY the Game is a Burger this time. The price is definitively London prices and not steep. I just paid £50 for a Black Angus Filet Mignon 10oz and two Sparkling Wines for my mini birthday treat at M&C. I also used a voucher to get a free first drink.

I guess it’s unlikely the Honest Burgers expansion will go Stateside. But if you do make it back to London there are about 20 locations dotted around the city, you’ll never be too far away from one!

Honest burger is very good. Not only are the burgers great, but the chips are consistent too and it’s reasonably priced when you consider the quality. In terms of other burger places you can try, I’d recommend black bear burger and the burger at the plimsoll pub in Finsbury Park (which I think is London’s best burger). Bon appetit Greeno and congrats on yet another milestone!

Ooh, this looks good! 👌🏼 Love the idea of rosemary on the fries! I can’t afford to eat out at the moment so I might need to get in the kitchen and experiment for now. I have similar glasses to those jam jar ones, (including the handle lol) they’re really nice and funky to use. Love a proper homemade lemonade too. Definitely adding this place to the list of places to try one day. PS not sure about the gravy with this kind of meal but I would be willing to try it.

The bacon gravy was almost the highlight of the meal for me - so delicious. Rosemary fries so easy to make at home too, a simple tweak with a real burst of flavour!

As for why everything's in Reading it's because it's a good place for companies to soft-launch or trial new products, it's basically a cheaper mini-London with a relatively similar demographic and age breakdown. As for the burger, I'd have gone for medium but that's just me, I feel that if the burger is going to be a big step above a Maccies then I can trust the beef will be fresh and tasty. Yes it's more expensive than fast-food but for a slightly posh burger it's very good and surprisingly good value!

If I’m up in London, I often visit the Meard Street (off Wardour Street) branch in Soho. It is the best of the ‘posh burger’ joints that have sprung up in recent years that I have thus far encountered. As you noted, great flavours, proper cooking - top notch.

Thanks for the heads up with Honest Burger Greeno. Always meant to try this as it’s in London. The bacon gravy sounds fabulous to go with a burger and chips. As we both said, there are more enjoyable places to get a burger than GR at Harrods and this is one place that for similar price to five guys or Shake Shack get a premium quality burger meal. I am definitely going to visit.

Honest Burger was recommended to me by my work colleague. I went to one in South Kensington London. I only had their Cheese Burger and Rosemary Fries. The burgers and fries with crockery are rustic. I had mine well done and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I got addicted to Wings dredged through Frank's hot sauce the first time I went to the states many years ago and I see from the menu they were served with ranch dressing and pickled celery though strictly speaking that should be celery sticks. Of course you can always have them with blue cheese dressing but I prefer ranch. Cheers

Looked fab! You should just get a medium burger if that's your preference. Youre paying for it and you're eating it at the end of the day! Dont matter what the subscribers prefer. They can get a well done burger when they order theirs 🤗

Your "herb mayo" may be a version of that ubiquitous American obsession - Ranch Dressing. It's not the be-all and end-all to my mind, but it can be delicious in the right applications. I like it a lot with Buffalo chicken wings. I think it pairs well with the spicy Buffalo sauce, and wrangles the heat pretty nicely without ruining the flavor. I know some people love the original traditional blue cheese, but sometimes I think that overwhelms the chicken. This looks like a good spot.

I've just been on the honest burger site to search for ones in my area, turns out there's one in Finsbury Park just around the corner from the Emirates Stadium. I will be checking this branch out before a future home game, not only that if you sign up to their newsletter they give you a £5 voucher to redeem against your first visit. i am certainly not a hamburger person but that did look markedly better than most other places.I have found on most occasions that just local cafes/takeaways leave the large chains for dead as far as quality/taste is concerned(i am Australian) and i would imagine it is the same there in the UK.Good honest review

Definitely a great place. Those are home made onion rings don't get those from a supermarket. Great they use other cheeses instead of standard cheddar. Excellent value for money

Looked a really super meal to be fair. very well balanced - not sure about Rosemary in the chips, but have never tried the combo even though I love the herb. Would love to try this company, but alas, as per usual, you have to live, by and large, somewhere in or near London. I really don't understand why, as you say, the majority of your subscribers prefer their meat well done rather than medium - sacrilege Made me smile about your score ..... for me it would be a very easy 5 .... but I'll knock it down to 4 because of the Service Charge - which I would refuse to pay as a matter of principle.

The servers were very kind to me, and served me well, so I would have tipped anyway. Not easy to get by on hospitality wages living in London. You really should try the rosemary fries, they're delicious!

Looked like a very good cheesy burger and sounds like you enjoyed it. Everything was good with the gravy an enticing attraction. Still a high end of price but it is London. Inflated food pricing is bad here in OZ, but to my knowledge not to that extent.
