That's a really good and comprehensive tour of the region, thank you Phil and Hailey! There's so much variety of trails around Quebec, there's something for everyone.

I went to QC a few weeks ago for a similar (non-sponsored) trip! I think you did a great job of hitting the key points. I agree SdM just has something special; all the riding in QC is great, but SdM is Alice Lake levels of must-ride for lovers of gnarly tech stuff.

nice recap video Phil.. it's crazy how good the riding is here now, people coming from around the world to ride here. The dream used to be to go out west, Whistler, BC etc. don't really have to anymore.. BTW, @26:57, glad I opted out of that one :P Sickest trail around tho.

I feel proud of my hometown by listening to this video. We are lucky to have these amazing networks. I ride at e47 and you are right: you typically climb up once or twice to Summit 2 (where Nosferatu starts) because you are tired. If you do it 3 times, you are in really good shape. For afterwork ride, I personnally climb one time to summit 2, ride to the bottom and climb back to summit 1 for a Kamasutrail (I don't do Double Black Diamond trails...). For beer/food after your ride in e47, you need to stop at La Souche in Stoneham. Glad you had an amazing time and hope to see you soon!

Strong video Phil it's cool to listen to your experiences. You might want to add some of that to other videos or do a video like this along with your other videos. But hands down my favorite video was awhile back you played some serious fast paced music while you were showing your ride, you could hear the abuse you, and your bike were taking. And then you'd switch over to Haley's video playing cute little music and listening to her absolute joy as she exclaimed we, weeee! I thought I was gonna die I was laughing so hard! Anyways... Love your videos!!! You two stay true to who you are and continue to have a great life!

Keep going farther into eastern Canada if any of you ever get the chance. New Brunswick alone has two lift access hills, Nova Scotia has one now and the trail systems in all of the maratime provinces have been blowing up in the last few years!

Any recommendations, i heard of a few but im still looking for more recommendations
@kirkstapleford40764 ай бұрын
@@SkillsWithPhil in New Brunswick there’s my home hill, poley mountain, sugarloaf mountain New Brunswick (which is hosting their first crankworx’s event in a few weeks) and wentworth mountain in Nova Scotia. Nova Scotia also has a shuttle park called Keppoch mountain. All four of the bike parks have decent jump lines and countless fun trails Travelling in between all of the bike parks there is a ton of trail systems all through both provinces, you could easily ride new trails every day. Would love to see you ride some of them someday
@kirkstapleford40764 ай бұрын
Off of the top of my head for trail systems that I know are Rockwood park(Saint John N.B), shady grove(quispamsis N.B), white rock(Hillsbourgh, N.B), New England trails(Minto N.B) and Fundy National park has a 4 km downhill trail (whitetail) and is a beautiful area to explore on and off the bike. I haven’t explored Nova Scotia as much personally on my bike. I hear that the Railyard (Truro N.S) is good, Macintosh run(Halifax N.S) also their lift access hill(wenworth mountain) has a great climbing area as well. I also know the owner of the local bike shop well (they’re actually a GT dealer as well) and know that they would have probably have even more recommendation for you

The 3 Neilson together is about 33km from the parking, so around 3:30 at a good pace, else then that all of the information in the video is 100% accurate. Perfect retrospective of the 5 center Phil. Also your french prononciation is getting better each time, I give you a pass for La Grosse Boeuf ;)

Thank you! I was going based off the ride logs of everyone doing it, they all seemed to be in the 50s, I should have double checked and added an on screen correction. They must have been adding legend or some on top of the neilsons.

Bang on review ! Now you gotta come back to MSA when its hopefully drier and ride the classics ! Could even dust off the DH bike for that one eh ? Also massively agreed with your view of Le Massif, they have such fantastic terrain, but they insist on keeping it family and casual friendly. And some of the better trails (Cigale and Fourmi) requiring a climb on top is quite annoying, even tho manageable (even on a DH bike). Can't wait to see your footage of Professeur X ! Might have to go check that one out when it opens and see how it goes on a HT 😅 And yeah the weather here is either hot and humid, or POURING down and humid it feels like 🥲

@@LaurentiusTriarius Actually, there's quite a few trail centers that groom trails for the winter. Some of my favorite rides have been in the winter! avoid early spring though, everything gets soft and mucky as it thaws.

Yeah surprisingly winter wouldn't be a half bad time to visit! Ive always gone in july, but thats when it's pretty humid, but given you are from Florida thats nothing you aren't unfamiliar with. I think really late august into September is primo. Usually the humidity subsides by then, all the trails are open, and the leaves haven't started falling yet.
