Thank you for your videos, Mike. I am riding with you, albeit indoors, but you are riding my dream. I will most likely never ever be able to go to Norway and do this, so I appreciate you taking us along and making such excellent videos. Keep on riding, filming, and stay safe!

Hi Mike I’m a little behind from your current video. You asked what we prefer in your filming, I’m impressed with all of your videos. I like when you film yourself riding past the camera, but if it’s too much trouble feel free to only film it once or not at all. Your filming style is very relaxing to the viewer with your calm personality and humor. Norway is a beautiful place.

Hi Mike We love your way of filming yourself riding past the camera, even if it's time consuming The botanical garden in Tromso looks beautiful Can't wait to see how you fared with the wet weather ❄️ Many thanks from Downunder
@hammockdweller Жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree. If you only show landscapes, no matter how beautiful they are, then it will get boring. And it is your cycle trip, so you need to have footage where you cycle, if we see you just talking it is not dynamic. To much talking is also boring to people. You could let your drone following you, but I guess that's also time consuming and if it's to windy it is not possible. Variation is also needed, so filming yourself riding past in that scenario is still a good idea. Anyway, I like watching your video's. Thanks.

Your videos are top notch, among the best biking videos on YT, so it's difficult to criticize anything :-) I could just say that the style of biking videos could do with some sort of refreshment, for instance by stopping "unnatural" shots, the ones we all know are artificial (like passing shots, pretending there's no camera), finding other ways to film, less like TV (but easier said than done!).

First your filming is top, I like it a lot, the passing by shots are nice to see. Thank you for all this work making the films. The scenery is just stunnig. And takig advantage of a tailwind is a great when cycling, it is relaxing and you can cover a longer distance. Lookig forward to see the next stage.

Thank you Mike for posting your beautiful and tranquil videos! While Tromsø might be the most northern city in the world, I think Hammerfest (Norway) is the most northern town in the world. Looking forward to all your future releases!

Many thanks again Mike - beautiful and interesting. Yes, the variety of camera angles you use helps make each video more interesting and enjoyable. From Tromsø you travelled roads I had not seen, so that was interesting too.

Mike your videos are incredible, even your musical choices fit so well! I'm heading to Norway soon and these videos are the best preparation I could ever hope for because bicycle touring is mostly about positive attitude and enthusiasm, and I'm getting that from you! What trips have you planned for this year? -Greetings from Finland :)

You have inspired me me to cycle to Norway. What season was this? What time period of the year? I could take 3 weeks off from work, so what time of the year would be the best for cycle touring. I use the TREK 520 for my tours.

My trip was between June 27th and July 6th. Aim for June-August. June is probably your best bet, a little bit drier and the crowds hasn't gotten that bad yet. Most people in Scandinavia have their summer holiday in July. Plus if you want to watch the midnight sun, June is your month. The only bad thing about June is that the mosquitoes and other insects are at a maximum. If you can't stand them August might be a better month for you.

@@BikeTouringMike thanks a ton. Aug to mid sept I'm in Vancouver. So next year I'll aim for Norway.
