I knew you were going overboard with exfoliation from your previous videos! I am so happy that you realized that and started to use good hydrating, replenishing products! :) And remember over exfoliation can lead to several problems and can do the opposite of what you are trying to treat i.e. it can make your pigmentation worse!!

Just fix your skin barrier. Concentrate on hydration. No chemical or harsh chemicals for a month. You’ll get your glow back. Once your skin is healed you can reuse your exfoliant slowly to treat your dark spot. Trust at the end of the month it will be less noticeable because at that point your skin will be fully hydrated aka healthy

@@champagnebaby3853 I fixed it by not overdoing it. Just treat my skin first during the night and then during the day do a simple skin routine by just washing my face, moisturizer, then sunscreen. Girl, same! After lockdown, my skin went wack. I just did not know what to do. I tried everything natural, from turmeric, to honey, to bentonite clay and ACV but nothing worked. Almost a month ago, I started using Aronia berry soap, and it has been the best at smoothing me out. It faded my dark spots a little bit too. I'm just about to add treatment to help with the dark spots left behind. I got six bars for $32 at lifebrook.com/fruityfranco I signed up so I got a website. You can check it out and see if it helps.

I remember when it was the summer before I started 9th grade my 2 sisters who had acne went to the dermatologist. I was blessed I never had acne but my younger and older sister had bad acne. So they went and got prescribed creams for their face. After they got their creams I would secretly use them sometimes because I thought they were good for your face. I remember one of them was a retinoid and the other one was tretinoin and there was another one I forgot what it was. But I would use all three of them at once and use wayyy more than a pea size amount. I got a chemical burn and face was sooo messed up when it was my first day of 9th grade. I ended up fixing my face by using Vaseline to moisturize because my skin was too sensitive for anything else. It took like 3 months to fix my face and to make it back to normal.

girl same my skin used to be close to flawless all my life i was lucky didn’t have to put much thought into it but i think that’s what made it so robust. we wonder why men have such good skin and it’s coz they don’t do too much! of course people with hormonal or cystic acne have a different story tho. but i was oblivious about in-depth skincare and at some point i wanted to treat my slight hyperpigmentation but of course i ruined my skin. i’m still dealing with acne and dryness. i really think i destroyed my barrier and my skin has just been in shock and out of wack for a while. it’s getting better but it’ll take time especially for us melanated girlies ☹️ dealing with scarring is tiring. i will say that using any sort of petrolotum for scarring is a very standard and go to route for quick efficient healing. keep it moisturized and use sunscreen!
