Well Samantha I guess it's time for me to leave you a long comment again. I do this a couple times a year just to say hi. I'm sure you won't recognize my name,I'm definitely not someone who is always on your lives or comments often. For some reason this video hit me. I've been going through some things over the last year and maybe it's just that you and I are from the same part of the country or the fact that we see things similar..but you said some things that really hit me. About home, and family, and I guess life priorities. I don't have any idea why I'm going to tell you a few things but I am. A couple years ago I lost my best friend to cancer. When he died, I also lost my mind. In the middle of the night one night I left Iowa drunk and moved to Colorado. I ended up spending the next couple years running all over the country alone and drunk....at first it was awesome. I no longer had kids or my ex's to stop me and I honestly thought I was free and F the whole world until one night I realized out in Wyoming, that I was completely alone and if I died nobody would even care. The same night all those years ago I found one of your videos by accident. You and your grandpa were building your van! Well in a drunken rage I yelled at the man upstairs that that's just great God!!!! You made the perfect girl and put her on f-ing utube to fly all over looking smoking gorgeous, being happy and good to her family and friends, and I'll never even meet her!!! Well....my bullshit pity party ended last year. I came home. I've been dealing with my alcoholism and I've actually been sober over a year....however....my stepmom just passed away and there's alot of old family stuff around that. I actually haven't told anyone close to me that she passed. I've just been working and ignoring the fact that lately I'm depressed and full of questions. Questions about is this really it for me? My kids are raised,my family is split apart, I'm single and honestly, I'm lonely and won't admit it. I'm 48 and by now I have just decided..I guess to stay single because I am all done with games and drama.....but you setting at that kitchen table, being honest, and almost crying, GOT TO ME. I have been acting like everything is fine and it's not....and I'm a guy. I don't like some stuff and thanks to you and your video,I'm going to make some calls and let a couple people know, that I'm not real thrilled with my situation lately and in fact,I'm pretty sad, depressed, and a little pissed off at myself that after all the hard work I've put in this last year,I still had to leave this pretty chick on the internet a message thanking her for the ability for me to get honest with someone today!!!! So Samantha, as always, thank you for being this beautiful, intelligent, loving woman one state away from me. It gives me hope that one day,if I keep doing my stuff right....I might find one just like you somewhere. Much love you little badass!!!

A Minnesota county fair…where old white guys get to jam! 😂. Realizing the that unhappy can be different than depression is kind of important. It lets you make decisions based on thought and planning. The beauty of life is trying things out and changing your mind! I love that your family is keeping grandma’s passion going. ❤

My grandma is in the same situation. She always calling me to help her with her TV or phone. I do t mind because at least I can help her in a way I can. She doesn’t really remember much but she remembers all her family from growing up since we were all talking about relatives last time we got together. Good luck with your family!

I owned a house for 26 years, bought it after my divorce. It gave my mother, my son and I shelter while he was growing up. I had a Dad that helped me, it was a fixer-upper. There was always something to do, lol. I'm not complaining because I come from a construction family, it was my chosen path in life. But it is soooo expensive to buy a house today, as a young person starting out. It's very sweet that you think of your grandmother. I am watching over my 90yo mother with mild dementia. I put her on protein drinks twice a day and I notice better clarity of thinking for her. I'm always harping on her to eat! She is so tiny. I grew up with a HUGE garden,(125 ft rows) my whole family are gardeners. When I wasn't eating the fresh produce, I was helping with harvest, canning and freezing. It was slave labor as a kid, ha. I can still hear my Dad saying to us..."If you kids want to eat this winter, you better get out to the garden and help me." It wasn't until I was in my 20s that I realized how amazing it was to grow up eating that way and learning those skills. Hope you find the vehicle you want, Sam. ❤

100% Princess, I'm so glad that you are not brushing your feelings under the rug and acknowledged them. Despite the unpleasantness of those feelings, they bring a great opportunity to evaluate, strategize, and recreate your life and direct it where you want it to go. Being scared is good, as it helps keeping us on our toes and focus on the bullseye. Congratulations for the opportunity. I can't wait to watch our videos and witness your evolution as a person throughout the struggles and accomplishments. Regardless of where you live (e.g. van, mansion, airplane, or on the moon), your charisma makes us watch you on KZbin. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay happy. Sincerely Pops

I hope you are feeling better, we hate to see you sad. Glad you are looking at upgrading your van. Since you drive your current van across the country, it is critical you have reliable transportation. My son has an old Bronco that always needs repairs. Since he is a college student living out of state my wife and I got him newer vehicle which we hope will be more reliable. Sorry to hear about your grandmother, my mom also has dementia and it is a terrible disease. My sibling are working together to keep her in her home as long as possible. Hopefully next summer you will be able to spend more time in MN to help out your mother and brother take care of her because it is tough.

Samantha, I haven’t watched your videos in a while, but watched while you were boondocking in Queens. I rent a small apartment in Bayside, Queens, and couldn’t get over the guts you had to do what you did. It’s a life that takes nerve and stamina - and over time must be exhausting. So many times I wished I had a house to offer you to park your van in a driveway and take a break from the tumult and live with more peace for a while. I’m older than you, but I couldn’t have done that at your age. It takes all your emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual resources. You did it, and be proud that you did. Not a lot of people could hack that lifestyle. Maybe you’re coming into your time where you require a more stable lifestyle with more peace and tranquility 🌷

It’s hard to find a vehicle these days especially what you want to do. I’m glad you’re taking your time but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with picking up a small little homebase. That’s what I did. I spent 25,000 for my house on an awesome lot and of course I had to redo everything but to have a homebase. It means everything keep that in the back your mind just saying. Not to brag but I just bought myself a new grey 2023 Ford Transit 250 RWD ($62K). Its wheel base is 148 which fits perfect in parking spots. The van is not too big and not too small but just right. I was going to get a pro master, but the main reason I did not is because a transit has more power (optional twin turbo) with 300+ horse power, plus the transit holds its value more than a PM. I did not want worry about my van struggling going up a hill, this van goes up a hill like there was no hill. I got new because I did not want to worry about... is the van going to break down on me soon. My payments are $860 a month with 18k down for 72 months. Yes it is pricy but worth it, I love my beautiful grey van. Anyways good luck on your van search, I hope you find something nice. ...ps your right, keep the build simple, I use portable power with foldable solar panels and water jugs...Anyways, I hope you feel better, take care.

Watching you over the past couple of years and you trying different diets that on other people I never saw anyone lose any weight in my have a lot to do with your head space. Just eating a healthy meals regularly will be the best for anyone. Just try your hardest to keep a positive attitude and what you need will find you. It was great to see the fair there.I was a 4-H leader for 25 years and stuck with being one of the building super intendant for 5 more years. Since we live only a little over an hour from DC our fair usually gets one or 2 big name bands one is always country and maybe one plays oldies. It’s always fun to visit.

There is a certain amount of life that is just "go to work and recover from work". Hey Sam, I’m sorry to hear what you’re dealing with. I think I spent at least the last year feeling the same. I was living in an RV that I was still renovating, driving about an hour and a half to base and working every single day on reserve. I was exhausted. I was finally able to move into an apartment very close to the airport and it’s made such a huge difference in my mental health. I was thinking… would a move to a base like Chicago work for you where you could commute home easier and more often and also hold a better line? I hear it’s very junior but I’m sure the flying is different than New York. Friends there say ORD is a great base with wonderful crews and management. Anyway, just a thought. The flexibility with this job is so great I can’t imagine doing any thing else but I know with everything we’ve had going on, this summer has been especially draining. You’re not alone! Wish you the best and I hope one day we cross paths so I can say hello! ❤❤❤

See if Issac can located you a good van. Everyone goes through times of questioning their life. Maybe after you find a van, you can work and just save money for one year. If you are thinking of making a career change, look into being a travel agent. You are adored by all your fans on this channel and could start doing more videos about places you have traveled to. That might help having content and help bring some money into your You Tube and Instagram pages.

Sam, well first off you are always all over the place; it seems like you change your plans everyday. You got to be more consistent; you can't do everything. I also think you may be letting social media get to you. No-one has a perfect life, and no-one is happy with their life all the time. Life is not perfect; everyone have ups and downs, so feeling down and lost in life is normal unless it is all the time, in which case I would say to seek counseling. I thing you should take a break from van-life maybe even Utube (if you are not making no money). Because that would take allot off your plate, and you can be home and spend time with your family and especially your grandmother, and you would no-longer have feelings of regret for not spending time with her or helping your family to take care of her. Your grandmother is older, and she could leave this earth at any moment (hopefully she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior so that she will go to heaven), so I feel your priority should be to spend as much time with her as possible as you kind of alluded too. Also, if you don't have money for a van, why are you looking for one. You should stay with you mother or grandmother and save your money until you know for sure what you want to do. I know what I said is easier said than done, but you are going to have to make some hard decisions but that is life.
