Alaya's hair needs a different type of comb. Wide tooth combs work best for curly hair. And make sure to wet it/moisturize it before combing it to avoid breakage. Make sure to keep products for curly hair for her at your house too.

Yes! Try a denman brush with Aussie Miracle Curls (which does contain silicone which may be drying so be careful). Other good brands for curly hair include Shea Moisture and my personal fave, Alikay, which is all natural. For Alaya's hair type, which seems to be somewhere between a 2c and 3a, try to keep products light as to not weigh down the curls and get stuck with an oily look. The goal is to keep the curls moisturized, ESPECIALLY during winter, and bouncy! Good luck!

Definitely!!! Also some detangler or leave in conditioner would be a huge help in that situation! I didn't realize how much more work it is to take care of curly hair till my son ended up being born with serious curls! Good curl products are SO important!!

Wet brush wide tooth combs and some leave on conditioner spray will be your best friend for Alaya’s curls. Curls are super hard to deal with so to go from not knowing hair or what to do 100%. to having kids with curls. I feel for ya Oscar. 😂❤

On my daughter's curls I do not use a brush, she has fine hair and I find any type of brush weighs her curls down and they end up not looking clumped at all. We do use wide tooth combs tho and products especially doe curly hair.

@@ivymarie. have you scrunched after. Wet brushes are used when hair is wet. If you scrunch and reform curls with curl cream and leave in after brushing typically it’s ok. I have very thing fine curly hair aswell.

Licensed cosmetologist and girl mom here! Definitely get a “wet detangling brush” for those hard knots! It’ll hurt her way less than a comb and she won’t mind her hair being brushed! Respray her hair after being brushed and scrunch it up so it gets curly and not frizzy! Look up “wet detangling brush” it’s a brand of brush! They usually say “wet” on the handle. You always wanna re-wet and scrunch curls with some curl cream or w/e after brushing when wet! Don’t brush dry or she will get poofy!! Hope this helps you figure it out a little more! (:

Hi Oskie! Please watch curly girl hair videos! She has 2c/3a curls and would benefit a lot from wide tooth combs, or tangle teaser brush and some detangler spray. Shea Moisture kids has the best detangler ever. And yes, comb in small sections from tip to root, helps avoid breakage and pain. Also, getting products that work best for her curly hair is key . I’m sure there are curly hair specialists as well in Utah that would love to teach you more!🤗

@@VanoniOrnella-sv3ll yes! I’ve been commenting this for years on okbaby videos but sadly have not seen much change in sis’ hair. So many tutorials for all curl types on KZbin now in days. So many products now on the market. I know how hard it is to have curly hair just as a Black woman. I could not imagine being sis, a curly girl in a house full of straight hair, and having navigate that. I know it would make all the difference if they watched videos with her, saw a curl specialist, and bought the correct tools/products for her to learn how to do her hair☺️not saying they don’t do all this already/behind the scenes, but if not I’m commenting for Oscar.

My daughter also has very curly hair. And when she was little it would get tangled all the time. She also got a comb stuck in her hair (while I was gone) and when I walked in my husband (her dad) was cutting it out!!! To this day it’s our biggest fight and I’m still mad. It’s probably been 25 years now but that pain lives forever. Lol

I have 3 girls with curly hair,when you brush tangled hair hold the base of the hair and then brush the ends first and work your way up. It hurts less on their scalps and creates less damage. You got this!!

It shows that someone is focused on her hair and proper products to use. She got one small comb stuck and Oscar wasn’t afraid to break it to pieces…. Oscar as someone whose curly hair still tangles, detangler is a good friend for the tangles.

Wide tooth comb, leave in conditioner or detangler, water and working the knot gently from the end of the hair (detangling the tips first and working up) will help you detangle her hair Oscar! It is also easier in the shower or bath with conditioner on it if the knot is really bad and you can use your fingers in the shower to do it if the comb is making it worse.

It all worked out! Now, the mattress will have a chance to fluff out, you don't have to wait for it. Get Alaya, a wide-tooth comb for her hair and a leave in conditioner for her curls. Glad the kids had fun! Call the bed company and informed them you didn't get the frame and you were very disappointed that you didn't received with the rest of your delivery. I would call them to ensure they didn't get your order correct, maybe you'll get a discount.🤣 Just a thought!
