I just watched a show called “Barrister babu” it is about a 21 year old boy who wants to bring a revolution in the society regarding women marries a 10 year old to save her life before people burn her alive, their bond is so pure, it really looks like a 21 year old is talking to a 10 year old and it doesn’t romanticises a 21 year old with a little kid, it talks about women empowerment and the misogyny in the pre independence era

Here I watched the show from first epsiode! So obviously I would know what the concept of the show and what they taught us! So 1.Anirudh's way of teaching the difference between good touch and bad touch to bondita(I request every child to watch the scene and I will make sure my child watch this scene) 2.Anirudh's way to teach Bondita why child marriage is wrong! 3.the importance of using toilet at that era when girls had to go to rivers to bath because there were no bathrooms for the girls 4.the importance of yoga 5.Bondita's bed wetting prb and her Mental trauma 6.sex education (some girls even didn’t know about sex bcz they were illiterate 7." punarjanam" rebirth is a superstations(u r saying they promote rebirth but the track was agaist the rebirth beliefs 8.Menstruation is not a taboo (when Bondita got her first periods) 9.how little girls were forced to give birth to family how again Anirudh saved his little wife 10.molestation track! For those Who are talking about Barrister Babu and also Jammy please read my comment Barrister Babu show talks about the issues which really matters in the society.Yes it has showed child marriage but its based on 1920 when child marriage was so common in bengal.Even Rabindranath Tagore did child marriage he married a girl whose age was just 9 when they married and yes the female lead is 12 yrs shown in the show that time 14 was the beginning age for girls to be married. There was even a part two where the prince is a teen and falls in love with other teenage princesses and starts ignoring his bride because she's twelve years older, despite all the time she saved his life he's quite savage to her.. There are two version of this, in the version with magic it was shown the bride's age is magically reduced.. This tv series is most likely loosely based on it.

@@logicalbeing1897 Actually the reason why balika vadhu and barrister babu are not banned like pehredaar piya ki was because those two shows touched on these topics with the intention of delivering a social message against social evils and barrister babu is a period drama where such stuff happened and balika vadhu looked at rural life where this stuff happened, whereas pehredaar piya had no such intention whatsoever and was only created as a love story where a woman marries a child in the name of protection when there were numerous other methods to protect him and they showed the boy act all romantic and weird with her.

A lot of pak dramas are really good like zindagi Gulzar hai, alif, ek jhooti love story etc but pak dramas also have a lot of problematic shows... The only difference is since they have only 30-35 episodes it don't look as draggy as indian soaps... A lot of pak dramas normalise cheating of the husband just by him marrying the other girl and having 2 wives, then any girl wearing a jeans won't be as sanskari as the one with a salwar kameez, then evil mother in law and planning and plotting are all there in a lot of pak drama but the over all setting looks very down to earth and realistic and they have really good actors...

You won't feel even a bit of cringe as their relationship is portrayed very purely. Do, give it a watch!
