I spent way too much money on this game and was feeling pretty shitty thinking I would never come back after THE FINALS came out. THIS actually interested me. The rank system is why I left. I loved this game so much. I have never stopped playing Apex for this long. Maybe s20 will keep me reeled in. Been faithful since day 1 and plan on doing so with positive changes.

They have no real lore unless you like Easter egg hunting, no relatable characters, gunplay feels infinitely worse, matchmaking is SO much worse over there that it makes me WANT to come back to Apex matchmaking and be happy about it.

Aggressive players will still be aggressive and opportunistic people will still remain but the way combat itself is approached and your playstyle within it will change dramatically depending on the perk loadouts.

She is never going to go back in time. That'll be the sad ending of her story when it concludes. They'll find a way into the past but doing so will cause tons of other issues in the attempt and Horizon will have to let go and accept the fact that she'll never get to see her son again. Because, if they REALLY go down the time travel route they have a lot of other lore implications that can be changed/addressed. I'm sure A LOT if not ALL the legends would want to use that tech to improve on things in their past. Because almost all of them had some form of major tragedy happen and wish they could fix. So in order to stop all those crazy plot holes that would be possible, I can bet my nuts Horizon will never actually be able to time travel.

This is very complicated for me (OG) for a new player WAY TOO much. I have played with people who don't even know how lifeline works. I bet you are EXCITED Mr Merchant, because you are brilliant at the game. This only widens the gap between great players and 3 stack teams over the average skill solo que players (me). 5:11 promotions trial are the worst thing ever. Im stuck in diamon one because i cant get the win in the trial. And if you fail the trial they took of you 300 rp!!! I just don't get the devs. I don't use configs, but I am glad they are removing them. But alongside that, why not just remove tap strafing and neo strafing altogether? They're inaccessible and only done by binding things to stupid crap like unhinging your scroll wheel or whatever lol. On the flip side adjusting and playing with new combinations day 1 will be a lot of fun. Inevitably there will be some broken combinations that take over the meta until the get nerfed, so that will be annoying but as long as it’s not Conduit I don’t care. I'm not sure I love the changes yet, as things like dinging an orange shield (or purple early on) and knowing if I chase them down it will be a big power spike for my team if we kill them is cool. But the new systems also seem pretty rad so I'll just have to see. That being said as someone who plays solo with randoms, it's gonna be even more annoying when a jump master drops as far from other plays as humanly possible, and your two teammates slow loot.

@thegamingmerchant I can understand the config issue when its for no recoil, auto armor swap, etc. But to me the tapstrafe config seemed to just level the playing field between MnK and roller. sure roller has AA but respawn nerfed AA for S20. MnK still can loot a deathbox while moving while roller cant tapstrafe or move while looting. it just feels wrong to me. I feel like there should be changes implemented next season to address MnK exploits that weren't intended by the developers also. side note: love your videos man. hope you're doing well and keep up the great content!

Evo shield, perks, shield swapping, and crafting changes don't seem as bad as I feared initially. My only fear is that because of how bad matchmaking is in Apex, these changes will help better players and 3 stacks more. It could make it even more miserable for new, solo queue and lesser skilled players as a result. I'm hoping the new map and skirmisher legend in play testing will get released at the split, but expect them to come out S21. Nitro/Straight Shot is basically a hot drop mode, too.
