A tip I got from a powder coat shop on fixing weld or grind defects is to use JB weld and apply it like its bondo/ bog to smooth it out. Give it a good sand/ gentle flap disk afterwards and it will look perfect.

@timmyhasheartАй бұрын
Brooooo that’s a brilliant idea.. I had considered crush tubes going all the way through but then having a nut on the bottom, but then you’d see the nut and the tyre might flex into it, then Kinsela also suggested having a counter head bolt go from the bottom through to the top and have the nut on top, but never considered having a threaded boss.. Awesome vid dude, I thought u went to 3 tail lights on this tray instead of the 2 like the last back your back to 2 again ?
@timmyhasheartАй бұрын
Na so I built the first tray which was 50mm wider, then I put 2 lights on it and it looked stupid so I changed to 3 lights because the space was large where the lights went and the space needed to be filled.. Which looked great I liked it, but then as time went on I realised the whole tray was just too wide all in all. So I sold it and started again, and in the second tray, I made the light area narrower in order to fit a drawer in the centre and so I could no longer fit 3 lights 👍🏻

My bad haha, the bar that you’ve got going along the canopy doors with the roll cage jointers (that you imported)yet to go in, that will swing out to access the canopy, if it can swing upwards to keep out of the way when your in the canopy
@timmyhasheartАй бұрын
@@liamburgess6608 yeah I thought that’s what you meant, so there is only 40mm of canopy wall thickness, and if I had it go straight up, then at a minimum, in its complete upright position it’ll be the thickness of the tube which is 48 so it’ll impede the door, but you’re right it would be way better swinging up, I’ll have a play with it I might be able to latch it in some way to have it stay out of the way on any angle 👍🏻👍🏻
