I get excited for ducks because we don’t shoot a lot of them. Being that I love to cook so much, it’s a great opportunity for culinary adventure.

Great video, scenery, and mix bag of birds. Good dog work. I'm envied. I'm a 30 year hunter but feel like a rookie again with the requirement of steel shots. I'm really surprised to see you dropped the bigger nonqauils with a dove load!

I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I've been using Federal Upland Steel #6 and #7.5 and it will do it all. I can't be sure if it was #6 or #7.5 in my gun on that day because I had a mix of both, but I swear by the stuff. The ducks were stone dead.

Fantastic video! Friggin awesome! The dogs did great! I tried out some Kent Steel Dove #6 last month when I went hunting in Az. Not only did it work great on the doves it absolutely stoned the Gambles Quail! I'm going to use it from now on.

Haha you’re right Kim! I’ve never mounted a bird, but I felt like the wood duck was worthy. We don’t see a lot of them here. So as an upland hunter I’d say it’s exceptionally rare.

Well I was hunting pheasant and quail primarily so I had #6 and #7.5 steel.
