It's amazing that you're seeking coaching! I just started my life coaching business (I'm based in Singapore) one week ago, and I'm looking through your videos as a fellow biz owner, then came across this video. Very amazed by your business journey, and how your coach coach you through to newer heights 🎉

I relate to so much of this. Especially feeling behind. Thank you for sharing. You're def one of my fave creators and I'll watch any form of content you put into the universe ❤ I think that's what us creators need to realize and focus on. Ppl will come and go, but the hyper-engaged followers will ALWAYS follow and support because we're bought into YOU as the niche.

"What's your day-to-day life looks like after you had made it / you're there?" "I'll still work." 💕 High five Dina, I've been asked the same question before as well, and I have the same answer. I'll still work in the morning (I'm a morning person), then probably after lunch when my productivity drops naturally then I'll have some outdoor activities. I love my work and it doesn't differ much before/after I achieved "that goal" or not. There's always "the next thing" for us to chase for, and there's nothing wrong, we just enjoy the process and the views out of the window throughout the journey. 🥰

@DinaLu I thoroughly agree with your coach. its ok to be ambitious but there is a need to balance the ambitions versus being satisfied with what you already have. v Allow your gratitude feed your ambitions. Be grateful of the progress that you already made because not everyone has what we have. Even the every day stuff that we often take for granted. You reminded me of how I was in the beginning of the cba course. I have been through much change myself. Being ambitious is normal and good but remember to take time to give thanks to yourself for the progress that you already made to balance the need for more.

I’m about 9 minutes in and I guess I am just wondering what exactly the new content is. And are you planning on doing this huge pivot on this channel? 70k+ people subscribed for your current content and when they don’t watch the new stuff, it might take KZbin a minute to figure out that you’ve pivoted and they need to show it to new people! are you planning for that? I have sooo many thoughts on this topic, this is just a few of them. Thanks for sharing, going to keep listening now
@LaurenAngela_aufDeutsch
@LaurenAngela_aufDeutsch 4 ай бұрын
I think that will also throw a wrench in the 200k plan, if your content changes, your growth will stagnate till KZbin figures it out, so planning for life to be easier when you hit 200k seems like you’re looking in the wrong area for measurements of success
@LaurenAngela_aufDeutsch
@LaurenAngela_aufDeutsch 4 ай бұрын
The other thing k am thinking from a KZbin perspective is they just because you have 200k subs, we all know that it’s not the subs that matter but the views (if we’re speaking about increased Adsense) so I would think the goal post should be more aiming for higher views and not necessarily subs.
@LaurenAngela_aufDeutsch
@LaurenAngela_aufDeutsch 4 ай бұрын
Also another thing I am thinking is that towards the end you say you basically want to do whatever you want and get paid for it, more than you’re making now. But who can say they do that? I’m wondering how that fits it with everything you Know about KZbin and how KZbin works, I get not wanting to create with the algorithm in mind, but to grow to 200k and make Even more than you’re making now but also just make whatever you want whenever you want….. *to me* it seems Like those two things cannot coexist. Maybe to an extent if you’re doing a content mix but…. Idk I’m excited to follow your Journey and I am 100% rooting for you

Ooops haha I realize that I didn't give enough context on what this "pivot" is. The business pivot I'm talking about is combination of things: experimenting more creatively (like with my Calligraphy Poems for the Soul), writing/blogging more, and creating what I want to create instead of doing it based on the algorithm. It's not a HUGE pivot, like changing my entire channel, but building the channel/business up in a way that feels MORE aligned and where I can share more personal things. A small pivot / expanding what I'm already doing so I don't feel like I'm in a box. Yes totally agree that it's the VIEWS that matter. 200k subs is just an arbitrary number that I came up with. It's the number that'll make me feel "successful" haha. I'd LOVE to have 10,000+ views on each video. Re: "do whatever I want and get paid" yes, but more specifically, I want to create and share whatever I want to create/share (and spread it across different platforms in a way that makes sense), and I'll have multiple income streams at the same time. How this would work is, for example, I may keep my KZbin as just business education/sharing my business journey but insert some personal things here and there. My blog might share more of the personal side of me. Maybe my Instagram will share more calligraphy/personal things. Sorry there wasn't enough context in the video itself!

@@LaurenAngela_aufDeutschso true. Please help me make sense of the unbelievable engagement of your content on your channel. I mean I don't even speak German, but I do enjoy watching your vids, haha. But how would you explain it with 50k subs? And it seems to be growing quite well, no? It's impressive 👏

Kudos for sharing this with the audience! - About 10 min in, so can't comment on the session itself, but you know that whether people like and engage with any content has less to do with you and almost everything to do with how it makes them feel about themselves, right? So when they say "you're great", they're really saying "I feel so good about myself watching your content!" - Also, why the pivot? Is it because of how you currently feel and it feels you're not being true to yourself with what you're doing or is it because you think you've hit a plateau and the channel/biz isn't growing as you'd expect it to? Sure, they're related, but still... - And if you're making a major change, is there a way to test it small first, i.e. run one or more isolated experiments and assess the results before you commit and go all in? Kind of the lean startup way. Not sure there is, but usually it would be helpful. So if you have a golden goose right now, can you make the pivot and still keep it if it makes sense? - whats the worst-case scenario and can you live with it in the name of the pivot? Eg. if as a result you went back to 35k (just making this up) while doing what you feel right, would you feel worse than you do now or is that an acceptable price? What if they were 10k, but very dedicated and loyal? Is that okay?

LOVE THIS "whether people like and engage with any content has less to do with you and almost everything to do with how it makes them feel about themselves" !!! Honestly that's so true. I'm trying to do a slight pivot (The business pivot I'm talking about is combination of things: experimenting more creatively (like with my Calligraphy Poems for the Soul), writing/blogging more, and creating what I want to create instead of doing it based on the algorithm.) Main reason is because I want the business to feel more aligned. I mean, it IS pretty aligned already in a sense that I'm talking about what I want to talk about, but I think I want to share MORE with my audience and also be more creative (whether that's on my KZbin, blog, email list, or something else), that's kind of what I'm trying to decide how to do now. Hope that makes sense haha. Yeah, I'm not making a MAJOR change, but YES totally agree that testing it in a small way is smart! Right now, I'm experimenting a little bit with my content but I don't plan on making a huge change yet. Just tinkering with things to see how I feel. I think the worst case scenario is where I am currently lol. I've been super slow with making content and not feeling THAT inspired. I honestly think that there is an audience for EVERYTHING so if I decide to make some other kind of content, I truly think it can do well. Whether or not to make some other kind of content is the question... Thank you SO much for commenting and I'd love to hear any other thoughts you had if you finished watching past the 10 min mark!

Thank you so much for your detailed and honest response, Dina. That makes a lot of sense and it's so brave of you. I too think there is an audience for any kind of content. I did watch till the end and then I watched the other video in the woods where you talk about the pivot in more detail, so I think I have a little more context now. I had so many thoughts and have been thinking about your session all day as I watched other videos (not only yours) on similar topics. I felt like I wanted to share some of them with you. I'll get back with some more thoughts shortly. Until then, please keep it up! ✨

What's interesting about this, is your coach is working to change your mindset to one of someone who HAS that 200k following, along with a financially stable income that could come with it. Maybe 200k Dina would have fewer offers with higher price points, or more DIY offers to people with a lower price point :)
@DinaLu
@DinaLu 4 ай бұрын
Yeah I totally have a scarcity mindset so changing my mindset to "200k Dina"s mindset is a way of helping me make decisions from a more abundant place. Honestly, I have no idea what kind of offers 200k Dina would have but I'm trying to figure it out 😂 both those options could work.
