imo the existence of scorned makes magnamalo's design so much worse. magnamalo is in that middleground where it clearly wants to edgy and epic, but not enough to justify its design. scorned does that succesfully, its ACTUALLY cool and edgy to the point that i dont mind if it has plot armor. (its those damn back spikes man, i cant get over it. the fur on scorned is so much better lol)

@@baelGIGANI’ve personally never had an issue with magnamalo being spiky all over. He uses his ENTIRE body as a weapon when he divebombs his prey so it always made sense to me that he has spikes concentrated around his back and front area, to inflict max smash/shredding damage when he crashes into a target and spins. This might also be a stretch, but I also thought that the back spikes where to deter monsters like rathalos from trying to pick him up and limit his mobility in the air, might be a stretch though.

I think the only controversy would be his placements of Nergigante and Kulu Ya-Ku. Hedgehog Dragon is just a cool fight, no elements, lots of breaks with his spikes so there's good feedback from connecting, and most people find the spikes kind of neat, I'd think. On the other hand, nobody likes Big Bird, as funny as the headgear is, because he's just annoying; jumping around, stunning, making half his hitbox a deflect zone. And maybe people won't think gajau need to be that high up. But who cares.

Also, because they have a ton of explosive gas built up in their bodies, sometimes you can see them fart. They are very funny creatures.

On the wingdrake thing, I'd recommend looking up frontiers Guanzarumu "The Emperor Conqueror Dragon" he has a wingdrake army at his disposal and they do partake in the fight though they act more as part of his attacks (most notable is an attack that has them swoop and grab you and chuck you off the arena resulting in an instant cart.) So his fight can be summed up as the ultimate Velocidrome hunt. He's basically the raptor monster teamwork gimmick slapped on a immensely deadly elder dragon.

I believe base World is free with PSplus, but you still have to purchase Iceborne. Also, I would not recommend for him to start with Rise since the fast pace combat might change his perspective of World, (take it from someone who started in Rise) especiallt if the clutch claw wasnt in base.
