Also, for anyone here that's not quite familiar with the terminology: 5-MeO-DMT is a different drug from N,N-DMT which is more often the "DMT" that people commonly refer to and is the active ingredient in the herbal tea "Ayahuasca". Both have been used for probably thousands of years in shamanic traditions for spiritual healing and enlightenment. 5-MeO is considered to be the more potent of the two giving users definitive deeply profound experiences without much visual stimulation, while N,N users experience entities in what they describe as different dimensions with visuals that are so beautiful that they are impossible to explain. Both can make users experience an infinite fountain of love, or can become terrifying. Another thing is that the experiences for both last 20 minutes absolute max, but can change your life forever :)

Incredible. Thanks for sharing. We're gradually reducing the stigma in our culture, and more people are discovering the great healing power of various substances. I had an Iboga ceremony myself, three years ago. It lasted for 18 hours, and was also guided by a shaman. After my experience, I left my old life and began the one I'm living now. I understand the power of these things. More people will open their minds. Thanks for your vulnerable honesty.

John Barlow what is Iboga? And yes one step at a time.
@JohnBarlowMovies6 жыл бұрын
@@BarrettPall Iboga is sacred to the Bwiti tribe of Gabon Africa. They have a whole religion around it. The active ingredient is Ibogaine. It's used for everything from spiritual journeys, to helping people detox from heroin. It's kind of on the same level as Ayahuasca, but a bit stronger. Your vitals must be monitored by a professional during the Iboga ceremony. Look it up. It was life changing. But not suitable for everyone. 😊

Dear Barrett, thank you for the openness and sincerity by talking on this very difficult topic. I have never tried substances like DMT and I think I shall never do, for I have had a very good expierience with my religion. I feel very similar receiving sacraments like confession or while praying befor the Eucharist. But I can understand, why you tried DMT. The only thing I miss in this video, but which would be very important to say, is that expieriences like this are not supposed for every day, like comsuming food or even smoking cigarets. This should be a very special moment, which gives you some inlightment for the past and the future, but then you should go and work on your own. I wish you all the best and send my love likewise. P. S. Have you darkened you hair? Apparently I missed the video with this information.

I’ve done it multiple times myself. It was approached with a sense of ceremony and respect. Very much in the way I’ve approached First Nations peyote meetings. I walked away a-much more gentle and understanding person. It’s also made me more confident to try things unfamiliar to my own belief system. It should only be done in a controlled environment for the obvious reasons. Good for you, for being willing to look inside.

I'm quite sure their has to be a financial cost to this experience? If their is what was it and wood you do it again. Do you think like any drugs that you could be come addicted if a person was not careful. If you think this is so good of a experience were would one go to try it.

Steve Heckman it wasn’t free but cost about $200 which is about the cost of most therapy sessions and is basically years of therapy wrapped up in 45 minutes. I’ve done it more than once and would do it again.

Happy you had this experience but my issue is this, while hearing your story I'm picturing your body in convulsions or having a reaction, but you being in your "altered state" probably wouldn't notice if you were seizing or something, and what if doing this would've killed you? You're life can be enriched by you & those you have in your life, DMT is dangerous, I'm sure some people have tried it and gotten addicted, because life is not all sunshine & rainbows it's death and tragedy & loss & negative as well as positive, what happens when those magic feelings wear off they need more DMT and more DMT to get that same feelings then before you know it you're either an addict or you're dead it's your life but you're an amazing KZbinr do not go down the road of self-discovery and accidentally lead to the dead end of addiction
@BarrettPall6 жыл бұрын
Jordan D I respect all opinions but until you’ve tried it you just can’t understand. I was completely aware of all my states. Not just the spiritual journey. I never was in any harm and I actually got to watch my friend do it and was there to support him. Watching someone else go through the experience was beautiful.
@SerafiniAGaunt6 жыл бұрын
DMT is not dangerous - it's a naturally occurring chemical within our brains that exerts before we die, hence the visuals a lot of people see when near-death experiences occur. You cannot overdose on this, nor is it physically addictive. It's just EXTREMELY important that you set yourself a good environment before taking the drug.
