Hello everyone,
In this video, I’m sharing a major decision I’ve made: to sell my boat, Jeep, and motorcycle. It's not an easy choice, but it's one that feels right for me at this point in my life.
🚤 Why I'm Selling My Boat: The ocean has always been a place of peace for me, but lately, it has felt more like a burden than a retreat. I'll explain what changed and why I think it's time to let go.
🚙 The Jeep Goes Next: My Jeep has been my companion on many rugged trails and memorable road trips. However, as my priorities shift, so does my need for this rugged vehicle. I’ll dive into the reasons behind this decision.
🏍️ Motorcycle - The Last Ride: Riding has always been exhilarating, but it no longer brings me the joy it used to. I'll discuss the emotions and practical reasons leading up to this farewell.
💭 Reflecting on Happiness: I’ll also talk about the underlying reasons for my dissatisfaction and what I'm planning next to find joy and fulfillment.
🌟 Your Thoughts?: I would love to hear your experiences with making similar tough decisions. Did they lead you to a happier place? Drop your stories and thoughts in the comments below!
Thank you for watching, and don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for more updates on this new journey.

@@TheEmporiumOutdoors Look for Stromberg trailer tray. it's a tray that goes over the propane tanks. I keep all my black tank hoses, etc in a tote on that rack, freeing up storage space under the bed,. I also moved my spare tires to sit behind the propane tanks. So much you can do with a toy hauler. Starlink...I attached a flagpole to that tray to mount the starlink to as well.

Wow, that is a big change. They say there are two happiest days for a boat owner, the day they buy it and they day they sell it. And we all know that B.O.A.T. stands for Bust Out Another Thousand. The Jeep? Well, one should always ask themselves "What do I want it to do for me, on a daily basis throughout the year?" Since you brought it up, praying that Tobi's health is getting "more gooder". Glad to hear you're able to return to what you like, sucks to feel like a fish out of water.

My uncle had several Tundra trucks. Wore them put and got another. You should be happy. Also smart to have staging capability so you can have the base camp or head back to the deep bush and go rustic. Also is smart to stop making a mistake as soon as you see it. Just go slowly so you aren’t just chasing a ghost. Give to dogs a scratch for me and live a good life.

The puppers are looking well. The changes make sense to me from my limited understanding of your situation. The Jeeps are just insane price wise for what they aren't out of the box these days, but then the price on everything has gotten a little silly!

Hi Michael ! I understand your reasoning in all of this. I live on a 30 acres homestead, and couldn't be happier than just riding slowly on my atv with my wife and dog, cutting wood, gardening and enjoying a good coffee in front of the fireplace. Owning land is, in my opinion, the best investement because it is home, a sanctuary. I would not trade it for the most expensive RV. Having my small house in my forest is like camping every day with all the comfort and commodities. I never thought that one day I would be happier going 5 kmh on my atv rather than 260 kmh on a sportbike. Yes I an older....but alot happier!! Hope your wife is doing well and can't wait to see you back in the woods !! Yake care mon ami !!

Michael as long as the changes make you happy they are good. I started watching your channel with the Pioneer content, which led me to get a Pioneer 520 when they came out. Having owned Jeeps for 30 years I understand, I always tell people they are the perfect second vehicle but definitely not a daily driver. Hopefully you enjoy the travel trailer and the extended camping it allows. It was not my thing, really limited my access to places I wanted to get to. Tundra is a great call, super reliable and great ride compared to the Jeep. Best of luck with your new set up.

Michael, I have had several Jeeps, mostly Cherokee's. In 1997, I ran across a Toyota 4Runner, used, at a really great price. I won't be going back to a Jeep! My maintenance costs on the 4Runner for the entire time of ownership has been less than I would have spent in 18 months on a Cherokee. The Tundra is a great move. Hope everything else works out too. Looking forward to your content.

Thank you for the update. I hope your wife is doing well now. I've travelled in a Jeep Wranger, and especially the two door models are very uncomfortable on the highway, and spending more than an hour in one on the highway is exhausting. The old XJs were better for highway travel, and almost as capable off road as the Wrangers were. But Wranglers, in my opinion, should always be a second vehicle, never a daily driver. Good luck with your new endeavers and vehicles, and have fun!!

@@TheEmporiumOutdoors XJ's are great. I've had three of them. Arguably the last of the 'proper' Cherokee's. But getting rare now, especially here in the UK. And prices, for a good one, reflect that. You could also look at ZJ and WJ Grand Cherokee's. Still very capable, with an impressive list of available upgrades.

Jeep (just empty every pocket) . I am a former jeep owner . Your absolutely correct it gets expensive very fast if you actually use a jeep to it’s full abilities. I think your doing the right thing. Good truck and camper . Use the quad for exploring . Perfect set up . 👍. I own a crew cab 8 foot box. Hauls everything I want . All the best in your new ventures .

Thanks for the feedback - When you break an axel or get it sunk to the frame - and it's not only your exploring vehicle but your ride home, that gets a bit too risky for me! I can also throw the ATV in the Tundra 8ft box and go light, just like the old days with the Argo and the F150 long box 👍

Nice to see your finding your way back as you figure life out by exploring your options and learning along the way. Your right ...buy a used already built jeep for the offroad explore.....having that street plate to hit the road to the next trail is everything then find someone to tag along with you in another 4x4. Backs each other up if things go sideways.

Do yourself a favour and check out the Beta RRS I think you and I are very similar in just purchasing things that we think we love but in actual fact once owning it our thoughts change. The only problem that I foresee in having a camper is that you are very limited as to where you can go? From what I’m understanding is that you are just spending a few days in the bush which means you can’t drive your camper in the bush, it’s a very large setup so you have to make sure wherever you go you have LOTS of room to manoeuvre and turn around and make sure the ground is not soft because no towing company is going to go off road to pull you out. I’m wondering if an off grid trailer would have been a better option, especially when they are in Alberta! Anyways, good luck, keep us posted, this is the first video that I have seen of yours and will subscribe. Cheers!

Very good questions!! The camper will only be used for spring, summer & fall. Where I like to camp there are lots of options close to the highway to setup and use the toy hauler. From that location I can then explore for thousands of square kilometres. I'd certainly keep it away from mud and snow 👍 I think its going to work

Michael what you have done makes sense, move to where the woods are, I have a Jeep and no way would I be trashing it in the woods as you stated too much money, so yes did what you are planning to do, moved to an area plenty of woods and water, and now live on seven wooded acres with water neighbors not close, peace and quiet, and know I can just walk to where I want to camp….everything looks upbeat for you….maybe when you move you might get another quad for on your property that’s what I did…ty for sharing
