Stay safe and warm my friend. It's not that much warmer in NC we just got done with the ice & freezing rain. Prayers for you and your family. 👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏

You too, We got clear of the Vee-Russ with Iver-m-e-c-tin in hours, not days. Told Joe to get some. Stay off them goofy roads till all is clear. We got 5+ inches snow and ice headed to us in a few days also.

Great idea! Stay warm down there!

How low of a temperature can it withstand?

-10 Fahrenheit then it will just shut off all systems and restart once above 0

Nice battery. I don't need heated batteries here yet. My battery room never gets below 32°, with just the electronics running in there, and that room isn't insulated.But I may add insulation this year, and if the electronics keep the temp up, no need for heaters. Stay warm!

Excellent plan. I had to replace the unhappy one with the temgot. I learned it was made by Vatrer and they do the Lead Acid and LiFeOPO4 together without a single issue. The Vatrer has just now released their version but too much $$ for it.

@JOHNDANIEL1 I understand. I really like the new WattCycle company. Their batteries are top notch, but I don't know if they have heated batteries yet. Their batteries are grade A eve cells and the internal builds are above standards.

I don’t understand why some content creators choose to put fine print in the video, knowing that a majority of people probably are watching from their smart phones and could barely read it unless they have the promax’s or larger screen androids!

I put the link to their entire web site under the video, they have crap loads of info and data there. More that most battery brands since they have been at it over 15 years.

If ya got the bucks/$$$$$, "Thundersky Winston" batteries are near the best. They can be used from -45C (-49F). Yes that is minus 45/49 respectively to + 85C (+185F). I have had some running, charging and discharging, in -25C ( -13F) and NO problems. But I haven't had the temps of +85C, just about 38C max ( 100.4F). All with ZERO heating or air conditioning and they are running very very well.

Really I’m trying to design a 50amp system for my boat. Only issue is I’m not made of money $$ just a HVAC guy. I liveaboard full time my shore power is 50amp 240v split phase and 9kw diesel generator. I have both lithium and AGM banks that I parallel all the time. So far I’m planning 2 victron 12/3000/ 50amp and putting them together with a 100amp auto transformer but is there a better way? That’s 2600$ bucks in equipment then new batteries so I want to be right I can’t afford mistakes. Thanks for all the help I get from your content.

I’m interested in the 460ah and when I looked Epoch was little less than Temgot for this size. Epoch has given out to a ton of people recently but none of them except Will Prose test them. Will is great but more science and I prefer your style Real World. I’d like to see your review it’s a 1300$ battery.

I doubt that they would make me a offer on it. Few do since I do real test, not a sit and chat video that are done by the pros who get directly monetized via google.

John is there any way to prevent the build up of the white corrosion from the electrolyte off gassing when I charge the lead acid batteries bank ?
@JOHNDANIEL12 күн бұрын
Use acid cleaner NOCO E404 amzn.to/3PorkHc and clean it off, and then NOCO NCP2 paste afterwards on the terminals amzn.to/427tRNF

@@kerrybreaux2945 Be sure to cable with no less than 1/0 or you can do 2 strands of 2awg hammer crimped into a 2/0 x 5/16 terminals.

If you have room under the bed, how about putting batteries under it? Warmer and LiFePo4 are very safe. Our RV has those compressed gas cartridges to lift it up for storage. Just get a battery that talks to your phone app.
@JOHNDANIEL12 күн бұрын
My bed is a queen air bed, back surgery and decade in the ring torn me up so I sleep on air. The controllers and battery bank is over 90 feet from my bedroom so easiest is to use the existing. For a RV though if your out of it and then go get in to use it nothing will fire up when the regular batteries cold shut off. A single heated one will be the best thing to add so you can get furnace running and warm the others.

What about carbon lead acid? Do you use them?
@JOHNDANIEL12 күн бұрын
We wanted to get 16 of them from LEOCH but the price was way over 2X the cost of the Rolls Surrettes for us. I have installed 24 volt banks with twenty 180ah of the Leoch carbon batteries in them for others. Wish I had the $$ to have them myself.
@rm68572 күн бұрын
@@JOHNDANIEL1 With carbon, there is benefits they can handle working during partial charge cycle, also cycle life is better, and of course they can handle freezing temps, and very high currents. I was actually thinking about getting used truck EFB batteries, which is similar technology with carbon. Here in europe you can get money back for lead in recycle centre. Basically second hand batteries are for free, or payed back after 50 cycles.

Epoch or Temgot??? Epoch has a lower price and seems quality. If you can get you hands on an Epoch battery I’d like to see a review.
@JOHNDANIEL1Күн бұрын
The price on them is 25% more than same ability Temgot but if they make a good offer for one, such as 50% off to do a testing and possible video then I will consider them. I do not want any for free like so many you tubers get sent to them, you just can't be yourself or they won't allow you to criticize if they are not worth the money or have issues.
@jstaffordii18 сағат бұрын
??? You are showing heat from cells discharging . Don't heating pads only work to heat up batteries on the charge cycle? 5 A x 12V=60 watts. The bms doesn't self discharge the battery for heat or it would potentially over discharge for self preservation.
@JOHNDANIEL116 сағат бұрын
The battery is heated in meaning temps under 36 to 37 degrees the heater strips come on, when the internal temps rise to over 40-42 degrees then shut off. This continues to cycle to keep the battery slightly warmed up so it can charge as well as operate in below freezing temps. It does not stay on, it cycles to maintain safe charge and discharge temps. So covering them with a towel helps it cycle less and when sun comes up in the morning it takes immediate solar charge when a cold safety battery is waiting hours or days to exceed 40 degrees to even come back on.
@jstaffordii16 сағат бұрын
@@JOHNDANIEL1 in your situation yes they maintain warmth due to the lead batteries supplying amperage but a standalone single battery does not self heat until charge amperage is applied. The bms does not self discharge the battery to provide heat. Read the bms instruction manual. If I'm incorrect that would be the first heater circuit bms that self discharges for heat in the market.
@JOHNDANIEL114 сағат бұрын
The lead acid draws from the LiFePO4 all night since they naturally lose voltage on their own. These maintain heat. They will till the voltage cut for heating hits at 11.8 volts. It's set by a thermal sensor not software. There was no charge going into it in temps of 20 degrees. The Vatrer does the same, connected to charger or not. You are only supposed to expose these to the cold when you have solar or a charging plan, otherwise it drops to 25% and just shuts off.

No lifepo4 from china soon
@JOHNDANIEL12 күн бұрын
No Joke! Everyone better scrape up the money now to buy as much as you can before China gets it handed to them finally in Tariffs. 45 years they have cost USA over 23 million jobs and sent us some good but mostly pure schit! The Battery and solar stuff will see a 35% tariff and you should gather all you can before March 2025.
