The Deck is some of the coolest tech to release in years. It runs graphically intensive games like a charm, but in my case it has become an indie machine. I own 1k Steam games so I just find something interesting in the "supported" Tab and relax while playing in my bed. It's also amazing to feel like every time I buy a PC game, I'm getting more for my money. Really reminds me of early switch days. Edit: Games load from the SD card pretty much just as fast as from the SSD. And after playing with the deck for a while, I promise you: The Switch will feel like a tiny toy in your hands. It's a pretty weird feeling.

A laptop though has a larghe screen, keyboard and other parts the steam deck does not need. The screen is one of the biggest costs. Especially a 1080p and above screen. The steamdeck bing 720p is a big boon in terms of savings.

I just ordered my 64gb version...Phew...what a relief!!! I had totally missed my notice informing me that it was finally available for purchase on 8/15 ...But I missed the email ... I logged onto Steam in like a month last night and got the news...saying I had missed the buying window..and now it had been canceled...I then promptly wrote to their CS and amazingly and luckily they sent me an invitation to purchase it . I did see that if I were to pre-order again...the latest I'll get it is on December..So it seems their inventory is in good shape now.
@jonathanalonso64922 жыл бұрын
7:32 Remember, games for the switch are usually _way_ smaller, due to publishers removing unneeded art and sound assets for the switch's hardware. This is untrue for Steam games that can be played on beefy computers, like DOOM: Eternal. It's only 18GB for the switch, but 80GB on Steam! You could only fit, like, 5-6 games that are ~80GB on the 512GB version, and that's not even accounting for the storage already taken up by the OS itself!
@randallgoeswhere2 жыл бұрын
Sd cards exist?
@jonathanalonso64922 жыл бұрын
@@randallgoeswhere My point is that, for the switch, you don't _need_ one out-of-the-box. I'm still very excited for the Steam Deck, and especially moreso since I have been bumped to Q3, so sometime in September at the latest I will be able to get one.
@WholeHolyHole2 жыл бұрын
Yea the game size is bigger but you also get the better textures and graphical quality. A good solution to that issue would be to let you pick the texture quality before you install the game. Picking Low-Medium textures before installation would save a large amount of space since High and Ultra quality textures are what take up the most space. Hopefully developers start putting out an optimized Deck version (different from the current Steam Deck Verified program) of the game? It’s not a huge deal tho since you can upgrade the internal SSD if you really want to and for the easiest option a 1 TB SD card isn’t expensive.

You will want to invest 100% into a large MicroSD to install your games on. A lot of my games take up 50gb of space, with Dirt Rally taking over 100GB of space. Lets not forget the pre-cache shader files the steam deck will download for your steam games onto the internal storage. Furthermore, even though there are games that are on the steam, there are devs that refuses to support the steam deck. So it is advisable to have at least a 512GB ssd and dual boot windows on it. If possible, I would recommend 1TB ssd. I'm still waiting for manufacture to produce more 1TB 2230 SSD so that I can upgrade my steam deck storage and dual boot windows.

I got my deck recently around two weeks ago now and I am loving it I got to beat stray on high settings at 50 fps raw without any changes to refresh Rate etc and also game modding is so easy even from nexus with the desktop mode :) yes I used the Garfield mod. Another thing you also get to emulate switch on the steam deck so techincally you can argue that you could quite literally be buying a Nintendo switch. Also wii u and many more consoles from og Xbox all the way to ps3 and higher its quite insane and honestly I will gladly buy the 2nd generation of the steam deck if it's even more powerful than this. Overall I love it and I think it was 100% worth my money I bought the 64 gb model and ofc with the specs being the same I actually have plans of making mine a 1tb device by replacing the storage which ofc I'd possible and many have already done so. My last thing. I love that I can actually play my steam games offline though it doesn't save your playtime and as soon as you go back online it will change it back to its original time when you were still on the internet. So even though I was 2 hours into stray in the car as soon as I connected to the wifi of the motel it went to 14 minutes which really annoyed me but so far that's all my complaints lol

Can you do the advanced Remy or Urien charge partitioning in third strike with the mix box easier on then a joystick I would like to see you do a video on that I don’t even know if you know what that is I’m sure you do since you live in Japan but I would like to see what your opinion is with what is better in my imagination a picture that makes box joystick being so good for characters that could do that and third strike unfortunately it really only works in that game but it’s so good that it’s worth getting a controller like that a joystick I don’t think I could possibly do that on an actual dress like with the mix box with the buttons I believe I can do it pretty damn easy actually, in fact I’m thinking of getting one just for third strike for Remi and Yuri LOL because when you two learned that with those characters they become pretty damn god like and church strike LOL I could do it all right on controller right now but I know I could do it pretty god like on a mixbox though
