The thing that's driving me crazy is when they DO heal him, it's almost NEVER to full hp. Rein had every reason to say "fuck y'all" and grab a health pack but he stayed and did his job.

At this point I would have played either Zarya or Winston so you can get heals yourself. Its just not worth it relying on bronze heals. I climbed out of bronze myself with all three roles and I can confidently say: If you are a heal in bronze and think your team is at fault for not ranking up and you are doing your job....you are NOT! Its literally impossible to be bronze with Moira, Mercy, Lucio or even Bap, unless you are hardcore throwing. Moira especially.

That's pretty much what I do in Quick Play. I mean, if nobody's healing you, what other choice do you have? Either you feed and subsist on health packs, or you pick something with a self-heal. It's not always idea, but there are often limited options.

@@Malidictus Well the issue is that if you can't manage your shield you'll never get better at damage mitigation. Tanking isn't only about eating damage and being healed. Sometimes you have to know hoe to avoid damage. There's a lot of opportunities to get cheeky corner fire strikes or corner swings. Play angles with with payload and switch out with Sigmas shield. They were running double shield so he really shouldn't have been taking as much damage. So if he was going to play rein he should he have been prepared to do so. When he feel back on Dva & Roadhog two tanks that depend on aggressive playstyles it helps you understand why he was unsuccessful as rein.

I was part of the day one big where if you didn't place for a few seasons on ow1, then they'd place you in bronze in ow2. And I can say without a doubt that this is VERY common. It's easy to say that it doesn't until someone like Flats uploads a vod of it on YT, but it happens A LOT. That said, people tunnel vision like crazy down there. They get sensory overload mixed with adrenaline and dopamine and it makes them very bad and that in turn makes them salty and toxic. So yeah....

@@mellowvalentine9354 Yes. During my time there. There was the occasional player. That had some idea of what they were doing. They weren't no God, but they were competent. So I'd just pocket them. Which was enough of a boost to enable them to carry. Usually these stand out players. Played simple yet effective heroes like Soldier or Rein. And could some what hit shots. Or wasn't scared to get in the enemies face as Rein. Most bronze players. Play the more complex heroes. And straight up lack the skill or game sense needed to be effective. I.E shooting air as Widow, Or using Winston like a trash version of reinhardt. Don't waste heals on those players

That's what my brother said when I was hardstuck in silver for 2 months on dps, he told me I just wasn't good enough. I told him no, I either don't have space or half my team just straight up feeds when I get 1 or 2 kills. Eventually he said I'll play a few games myself and see how it is. He told me I was right after playing 10 games and losing 6 of them. He said he either didn't have space, had feeders, didn't get healed or 2+ diamond smurfs in other team lol. Only reason he tried though was because of me having a second account and I straight up carried 5 games in a row as low gold dps when playing on that account with him lol.

@@mstrswrdsmn21 "Peeling" is when one player, typically in OW1 it was the off-tank but could be any player, "peels" from the frontline to support the backline when they get dived. It is something I did when playing Zarya off-tank. If my supports got dove by a Genji, Tracer, Winston, etc... I would turn around and protect them with bubble and push the diving enemy, giving space for my supports to escape.

There's a reason why bronze to low plat is still considered elo hell. You basically need to trio stack in each role to get anywhere in the game or get extremely lucky you get a teammate or 2 who actually are trying to climb out of elo hell.

play in stack and in solo are completly different experience,the stack Is way easier. i had a problem with internet and got tons of unwanted DC's, i Lost tons of sr for that, dropping from 2300 -2400 to 1400 in tank and support. in the same season, gaining 23sr per match in soloqueue, i managed to climb back to my original sr and even to rank up a bit more on tank, so here Is the thing: yea the team can hold you back and i felt like i had to really carry hard some matches and other matches were Just impossible to carry with my "onlygold/plat" skill, so Is not Easy ti climb and you Need to grind cause i got 23 se per win and nearly 30 for a Loss, but still Is not impossible, so if you are really stucked in soloqueue, the Truth probably Is that you deserve that rank or that your real rank Is not much highter. also there are a few Place in sr that can be difficult to pass : 1650 up to 1850, cause Is the favourite Place for Smurf but also for throwers that want to reach bronze, and then there Is 1950-2050, cause most of new people Will be placed there at least on their First match they will for sure, so you Will find real noobs, good players that want to create a different account, bad players Who want to create a different account, Smurfs Who want to throw and reach bronze, Smurfs Who want to stay in Gold and boost some friends to diamond, Is litterally a mess, but at least there people can shoot and at least have some basics of the game in their mind, at least most of them. in conclusion, It May Be difficult, but for sure not impossible to rank up if you deserve that. i'm currently at almost plat again, still low elo but i feel i deserve that rank, cause with 20 FPS at lowest graphic on and old laptop and with a not stabile connection i feel that i'm struggling in some games and at the same time i'm doing well in other. people are Just too obsessed with ranks,there Is nothing bad on being bronze, silver , Gold plat and so on, Just have fun and try to improve. FUN fact: when i dropped at 1400 support i had a Match on router 66 were i was litterally carrying with Mercy,i had 2 deaths in 4 rounds and top heal of the match, tons of dmgboost, a good ammount of res and a few Blaster kills, they still managed to blame me, they told me i suck and i was the worst bronze healer they ever met, 7 days later i was at 2200 ( currently 2300, still ranking up), they harasses me cause i have a plat border and i "still was bronze", they did not believe me when i told them i usually play in borderline plat ( i have a private profile cause i hate toxic people), so i Just let them talk and left them at their home ( bronze). gess now Who Is still in bronze probably blaming his " bad healers" ? so yea, people do Always think that their team Is holding them back, even when they are actually not and most of the time Is not your team, or at least not ONLY your team

Have to admit this is one of those games you can actually blame the healers. Im usually a support main but once i play tank i have to beg for heals as well. Even when no enemy in sight they still refuse to heal me full … those players have 5k healing, get gold medal and think they did good…

Even in Gold/Plat, I still find myself in situations like this where our Ana/Bap/Moira/Lucio are too busy trying to DPS and i'm running on 20hp. This is why I play Dva. I've gotten really good at baby Dva in order to remech and basically heal myself. I try going to health packs but our DPS are usually camping them. I figure they're probably DPS mains who want queue tickets so they pick the most DPS-possible support.

Bap is legit the easiest DPS-like healer to learn as a DPS tho. Literally all you have to do other than play Soldier is stack behind your tanks and hold right click while DPSing. It's so easy and for some reason no one under masters even thinks about it. Hell, even when I go "just hold both buttons down" I swear I can hear their brains short circuit right before they tell me "na, that's way too hard."

I think the reason he kept melee-hooking was he either saw the pro players usually get a finishing melee blow after a hook, not knowing they shoot first, or maybe he was just trying to melee as soon as possible after a shot, that he ended up doing it before he shot, either way, as a hog main, that was painful to watch, but I feel his pain in the first round as rein

You see the medic/heal signal on them when they are low. So I question the gods why Bap just healed him twice barely half health and went to dps. As a healer main I get the occasional "WHY ARENT YOU HEALING ME" comment but they are always from tank/dps, flanking and or over extending to where I can't help. But the man was ALWAYS with his team, so why he only gets crumbs of healings.

Not long ago on Kings Row attack I got destroyed on Rein. I made a note to go back and check the replay to see what I missed by clearly I made a mistake and missed 1 or more people shooting at me. Turns out I was right I wasn't taking that much damage. What I did find was that both my Ana and my Moira were behind me, cool downs up, and DPSing. Didn't even attempt to heal. This was in a 3k game. So everyone was between 2800ish and 3200ish. It was a rough game and we did win but it turned both supports where trying to DPS a lot.

The sad thing isn't the lack of healing. The sad thing is he only got healed when he stood on Lilantis's ass. Every time I saw the supports healing, it was primarily focused on Lilantis. Sometimes Mikroch got lucky and was in the right spot at the right time to get healed, but this screams to me a 3-stack trying to climb with Lilantis going "NO ONLY HEAL ME! I'LL CARRY!" Not saying it's definitely the case, but it definitely looks like a game where a stack only focused each other. I ran into it plenty of times where I'm thinking "OK I have ult, Mercy has a safe rez....and WHY IS SHE GOING IN THE BACKLINE REZING THE ULTLESS SOLDIER SHE'S POCKETING?", or I'll stand in front of Mercy as she just...damage boosts her pocket until I go off to get a health pack. It's part of why if I have a Pharah in comms and I'm on support, I'm telling her I'm not hard pocketing her so play safe - I understand that leaving the pocket is necessary at times, especially if they're getting hard countered and won't swap.

as someone who plays rein on bronze/silver level I can admit to the fact that I see cover as more valuable than healing. if i got money for every time i had to walk to a health pack while the healers are dps'ing.... to lighten it up a bit; on bronze/silver level the healers are either f'ing awsome and sticking their healing so deep in my backend that i can taste the object they healed me with, OR i just do not exist at all... there's not much in between. and yes, i know what i'm talking about. yesterday i played in masters at my friends place and it's absolutely a complete world of difference. whenever i made a play as rein, people had my back: something i don't experience in bronze/silver as much as i noticed happening on masters. sidenote: i play all 3 roles and almost all characters

Well, to be fair, as a support you do have to do both - keep your team up and do damage. My theory is that every support starts by learning one of the two aspects first - either they healbot hard and don't know how to do damage, or they start by DPSing and have to learn how to balance that with heals. Down in Bronze, this one-sidedness is very obvious and hugely amplified.

@@Siks7Ate9 yes, you can do rightclick - left click to shoot a burst after shooting a healing nade. Not sure but I think it delays the next nade just slighty, and of course forces you to jerk your aim around alot. But it's still in the game and a skill one should learn.

When I spectate my bronze Rein main friend it's a coin flip. Either he gets all the heals or he gets no heals. You get Mercys hard heal beam pocketing full HP Reins or you get the hard inting DPS Moira getting flash and fanned on cooldown. It's a fantastic elo to spectate.
