This video is dumb AF, the Vod description clearly says he started rage hacking in the second round, Flats is micro-analyzing everything in the first half, even though realistically the gameplay looks fine and you wouldn't say they're clearly hacking without prior knowledge. Dude was rage-hacking in the second round, first round there's nothing that is clearly hacking, and the kiriko he kept referencing was the least sus kill in the first round. It's easy to find all this "evidence" when you already know the answer.

I wish Flats didn't have to try so hard to convince his chat that the cheater is cheating in every one of these videos, it's usually absurdly obvious to anyone with a room temperature IQ. I think some of them are cheaters themselves. In my own opinion and numbers I pull out my ass up to 5% to 10% of players could be cheating. That translates to one cheater every 1-2 games. Why I say this is that besides the obvious ones. I sometimes find cheaters while reviewing a VOD. I didn't even know they're cheating they're jus so bad. I am so surprised and shocked. These idiots should learn to play the game instead of getting their ego triggered in a game and go pull a cheating tantrum. Sigh

The crazy thing is that whenever I call out an obvious cheater in a match, everyone, including my teammates, just flames me and insists it's a skill issue on my part. Other shooters aren't like this as much, but for some reason in Overwatch, people are super oblivious to the presence of cheaters in the lobby even when it's very blatant.
@yurritt Жыл бұрын
Because if it's ranked so many people would rather just win so they'll ignore blatant cheating by using benefit of the doubt and if it's not ranked they don't care because they don't view it as impacting anything since it's not ranked. People seem to forget that just because you only run into the cheater once doesn't mean that cheater isn't ruining every match they play.
@tobiasbayer4866 Жыл бұрын
I think its also the fact that in overwatch only the enemy players can see the pov of the cheater while other games have the option to first person spectate people on your team between deaths/rounds. That way the people on the cheaters team can also verify wether or not he is cheating. Also in overwatch you have relatively little downtime between deaths to even pay attention to your teammates compared to games like siege, valorant or counter strike where you dont have respawns.

Eh, it's because of the people who cry wolf and it's hard to know unless you have been targeted and see the kill cam yourself. I would even go as far as to suspect that in real life these are the people that end up playing the victims in any situation that holds them as responsible. Indeed he who wrote the comment ascended the likes of such, as he failed to associate the self stated lack of skill as a problem for the cheats even as said problem pushed him to frustration.

There is nothing wrong with not being great at a video game. As long as you have fun, it doesn't matter. It's more important that you realize you're not the best player and hence don't flame the absolute shit out of your teammates because 'My teammates are all trash while I should be in masters' type of deal. You can always find room to improve or ask for help or watch content that teaches you to be better at the game. Being a better/good person is more important than being a selfish egocentric person who belittles others for being bad while he uses cheats to hide he's much worse. If you do want to improve I recommend watching 'Spilo'. He's a ex owl coach who does coaching but also uploads vod reviews/coaching sessions. He coaches bronze to owl players in every single hero. I have these same arguments with people all the time. Ive played fps games for 20+ years I am insanely familiar with what an aimbot looks like and acts like. People act like an aimbot has to be hard locked onto targets and never miss a single shot, but thats what "rage hacking" is. Thats people cranking their aimbots to the max, but when someone has incredibly smooth aim, no jiggle of any kind incredibly consistently tracks heads and "predicts" locations even from heros with no footstep sounds like Zen, bounces from awful aim to perfect tracking in my GOLD lobbies, its a little bit sus. Yet i get told im just "mad cuz bad" or "hes not hacking" its just ridiculous how unwilling people are to accept that there is a FUCK TON of cheaters in this FREE game
@endless_del Жыл бұрын
there was an assumption, for some reason, that because overwatch 1 wasn't free to play, there weren't as many cheaters as other games. this was never true (cheaters spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on programs, even overwatch at full price 60$ is nothing, and the price lowered more and more over the years) but it didn't stop people from saying that. the discussions around going FTP for ow2 prove that-- so many people said it would just invite cheaters. as if we didn't already have a cheating problem back then lmfao. and now that it IS FTP, people still hold that same assumption that overwatch doesn't have a cheating problem even though their reason for that assumption is gone (box price model) and was flimsy at best to start with. its absolute insanity the mental gymnastics lol. i think there's also the also the assumption that nobody really plays overwatch and its not "popular" enough to have rampant cheating. maybe true to an extent, maybe more popular games like apex and fortnite have worse cheating problems-- but overwatch is sooooo lackluster with their anti-cheat that it's easy to cheat for months without getting banned. it's practically the perfect place for them to just live 😭

I just QP for fun a couple times a day and once you get to the higher-ranked QP matches (there is some kind of ELO even for QP), the cheating seems rampant. I estimate at least 25% of the games have a cheater. Rarely is it obvious rage hacking. Most times, it seems like players adjusting the hacks so they seem as normal as possible -- that is to say some kind of aim-assist that makes their play seem normal and the cheats harder to detect. Some players will toggle it on/off and its very noticeable. They go from perfect in air tracking one moment and they cannot hit a stationary pylon to save their life 30 seconds later. Hanzo, widow, soldier76 are the main hero culprits. And you can look for tell-tale signs like AFK before and during matches. Prefiring around corners, and "post-firing" (especially with soldier) as the target slips behind cover. I'm not salty about it. In fact, I find reviewing games and spotting cheaters pretty interesting.
@CrowMaiden Жыл бұрын
I don't think I'm even high-ranked in QP and it's wild how many times I see people tracking through walls. my favourite was someone who tried to say they heard my footsteps when I watched them perfectly track me through 2 walls as I crouch-walked closer to them on Numbani. I wonder how often that excuse worked in the past for them to try it that time. it's fun when they go from missing even the walls to hitting consistent headshots. I've started reporting with 'suddenly learned to aim halfway through the game' because it seems like an accurate description.
@ImmaPandaRawr11 ай бұрын
Amazing that people can’t recognize that normal aim doesn’t make those kind of micro adjustments. People can get insane flicks or instant shots but placing crosshairs on the body and then ever so slightly adjusting to the head within a one to two second frame is not natural. Especially not in gold and plat.

Makes me glad that in masters it’s hard for cheaters to exist cuz they just get bodied for poor positioning, I only end up seeing them in quick play and my friends never seem to agree when I call out aimbot, even when I show the replay. If they don’t see hard locking it’s just regular skill apparently, regardless of the majority of the cheaters I see using soft aim assist or trigger. It’s usually the most telling when the cheater is tracking a jumping player and they get a perfect arc with the person they’re tracking. You just don’t get that with a normal person’s aim. One time we had an enemy widow play like dogwater for the first 6 minutes and in the end 2 they landed 8/10 shots. Watched the replay with the discord and no one agreed that they were cheating, until a zarya got pulled by hog across the reticule and the reticule dragged with the zarya until she crossed the screen. No mouse movement from the player, just a 5-10 degree pull and they finally agreed with me for aim hacks. On the other hand, this man on video is a reloading fiend. Couldn’t count the amount of times he peeks, fires 7 rounds, then corners again without having made a kill and reloads.

Naturally the gyro aim from splatoon translates well into overwatch, so I have really good tracking with gyro. And I constantly get told in chat that I'm either cheating or using a xim, or that "my aim is way too smooth" Scary shit. Luckily I haven't gotten slapped for using gyro, but I imagine it's because they can tell when a 3rd party software is in use?

Why is the cheat detection (if any) not noticing the sudden super human aim? Like it should be a mid game ban
@Lv5Zubes Жыл бұрын
I'm not entirely sure how it all works but speaking as a former hacker (talking CSS and TF2 10+ years ago) it was possible to avoid getting VAC banned. What would really get me if I was rage hacking would be community server admins, real people, observing my actions. Even that can be worked around as long as you don't track/look at people through walls and if you're being subtle about it, say using only No Recoil and walls just use a low recoil gun like the TMP + making slight mouse movements to make it seem like you're controlling your recoil. An admin banned me for No Recoil but another admin unbanned me because he saw it as me just having good recoil control on the TMP. The thing with hacks and anti-cheat is it's a constant battle of the hack creators tweaking their programs to avoid detection from the anti-cheat. They actively work the program to be undetectable (save for human observation). If you have the anti-cheat set to just detect super human aim it's not so cut and dry. You'd have to account for a lot of different circumstances and skill levels. Now maybe there's a flaw in the program and you get detected mid-game or you started using your cheats without updating them first and that can lead to detection. Leaving it to auto-detecting skill has a far higher chance of snagging people just playing good. Heck Kenzo got banned after hack reports but that got taken care of. If humans observing can make a mistake (assuming a human watched it after the reports), then I can only imagine the mistakes a more automated system could make. I can't imagine my info is too far off generally speaking but I haven't been part of the "hacking/cheater scene" in over a decade so I could be wrong on things. EDIT: Also getting a bit more technical it would be possible for cheat programs to run from kernel. Kernel is essentially the core deep in your OS. Some anti-cheat software runs at the kernel level of your OS as well but generally the more tech oriented gamers don't like just about anything running with kernel level access because of potential risks so there's usually community pushback against anti-cheats that run that deep. Now that being said an anti-cheat running at Kernel level is still not guaranteed to snag a cheat/hack program running from that level (again as before the cheat makers try to keep updates with the AC to ensure it goes undetected as well as they can)

Crouch toggled aimbots. So fun to watch, less fun to be matched against, which happens far too often these days. I've gotten a thank you message 10 times this week alone from reporting these bottomfeeding cheaters. As for the dimwits thinking, ACTUALLY thinking this guy isn't cheating, go see an ophthalmologist.

I tend to play online games with groups, randoms just aren’t reliable. Man, if I had to face this guy, I’d ask my premade team over comms if we could throw the game and let them win if the opposing team let the five of us spawn camp their 76.

It was on from the start if you pay attention it snaps to the head as he shoots he has it bound the his fire button not his aim button that’s why when he hipfires it’s always perfect

I dont think she has it off in beginning, her aim key is left click meaning for things like widow your aim has to be close to them before you shoot since it doesnt really have time to move. Thats why her tracking is perfect when just using the full auto on widow even at start

Flats knows what he's talking about, it's kinda his job as a content creator for this particular game among others, to know exactly what the hell he sees. I don't get that chat thinking it's anything but hacks lmao

Pretty sure they turned it off, so they instead can focus on banning every single person that gets reported for saying wtf, or shit or damn ns. Or it auto sifts through the reports of people getting reported for abusive chat while they have turned off all communications because they get reported in quickplay for playing wrecking ball and refuse to swap to orisa or rein. The amount of people getting muted or suspended nowdays is ridiculous. They act like ow2 is a kindergarten or something.

The widow gameplay looks like one of two things. Its either just fine and the player is just a worse widow, or they have the hack set to prediction or projectile. You can kinda see that the mercy smg was slightly ahead of her. That would definitely screw up their widow gameplay as any slight strafe would throw her shots off. The soldier is definitely cranked up.
