the riverboys story made me sad and scared at the same time. hope ur friend is doing alright. drowning feels horrifying. this one time me and my cousins were playing in a lake back at my home village. my cousins grew up in that village so they knew how to swim but i was very young and hadn't learnt swimming yet. i was in the shallow water. the authorities responsible for the village had recently dug the lake and made it deeper. they didn't really dig it evenly. one part was shallow and just beyond a sharp edge, it was very deep water. i didn't realize how to close to the edge i was. i suddenly slipped and fell in the deeper waters and immediately started panicking which led to my body slowly descending under water. my eldest cousin noticed and grabbed me immediately. years later when i started learning how to swim, i kept remembering that incident which got in the way of my swimming lessons. learning how to swim took me 10 more days than my brother and a few cousins who started to learn at the same time as me. i know how to swim well now but i don't think i'll easily forget that experience. that was also the last time i ever swam in that lake

After my Senior year was cut short from COVID in 2020, I briefly attended online college before dropping out. After this, I went on to work in a factory. I was working 12 hour shifts, 7pm-7am, 3-4 days a week. I didn't know anyone else working on this schedule. This resulted in lots of late nights being alone on my days off. I remember watching this video, and many other similar forge labs videos, drinking tea in bed at 4am. It was a pretty dark(no pun intended) time in my life. Very lonely and depressing. But videos like this felt like home, and I'm very nostalgic for them. Thank you for the work you put into such cozy videos. I'm back attending college now. I'm in my last semester for the time being. Life has sure had its ups and downs. Found love, lost it. Made friends and lost them. But I have a job that I like, and the best friends in the whole world. Broke as shit and in debt, but I'm happy. Not perfect, but I'm excited for what comes next. I'm happy to be alive. If you're reading this, there is a reason you are alive, and you are loved more than you know, I promise. You got this.
