Realistically imo if the Soviets had to win the Soviet-Polish war, it would be at the battle of Warszawa, which is the closest they got to defeating Poland (in which Piłsudski managed to perform the miracle on the Wisła which saved Poland). So the whole plan of the Soviets was that Tukhachevsky would attack Warszawa from the Northwest, meanwhile Budyonny and Stalin were supposed to assist him. But in typical Stalin fashion, he went on to cuck out my boy Tukhachevsky by not helping and instead seiged down Lwów/Lviv. So obviously, we would Budyonny with his excellent cavalry come help out in the battle of Warszawa. And if they managed to win, which they most certainly would, as the poles were on the verge of collapse, and were only saved by Piłsudski's gambit- We would most likely have a white peace with, the poles being allowed to exist just like Finland. Most likely with Congress Poland borders maybe minus Suwałki. Maybe if the Communists in Germany had any chance of winning, I could see the Soviets setting up a Soviet SSR in Poland as well, to connect them to Germany. 🤷🏾

The plan was to save and get saved by the german revolution. It's a little bit complicated but basically: Russia couldn't realistically develop socialism at that stage, it was not possible due to material conditions. But if a advanced (in a marxist sense) country such as Germany managed to become revolutionary then Germany could sustain the "development" of the conditions for Russia. It failed thanks to we know who, and then Stalin basically said "yeah we totally achieved communism guys" The end

​@@lunalingo4461 The revolt was put down by the Freikorps and Reichwehr, not by the french, and the Ruhr uprising was against the government as it was a response against Kapp-putsch. What did happen was the Left Coalition fled to french occupied Rhineland after an encounter with the Reichwehr had absolutely destroyed the rebels (and in the rhineland they were forcefully disarmed by the french).

@@lunalingo4461 Quite a long answer, but bare with me, basically, soviet high command in Poland was split between Trotsky and Tukhachevsky against Stalin, Trotsky and Tukhachevsky both proposed an offensive straight onto Warsaw was the best strategy, while Stalin proposed attacking Lviv first. Irl this split caused the "Miracle at the Vistula" for the poles, which made the red army retreat all the way to Minsk. However if Stalin decided to actually attack Warsaw instead of coming in last second, they could've possibly broken thru and forced Poland to capitulate. However this would still not make the soviet union be able to interfere in the Ruhr uprising (as it had occured a few months prior to the battle of Warsaw), so in this timeline the soviets probably had to either go really fast on Poland or the Kapp-Putsch would happen later. So by some miracle either Kapp-Putsch occured later or the soviets absolutely ran over poland, this would directly open a door into Germany, and consider that: Germany's main fighting force was a rag-tag group of militiamen and no one guaranteed any military aid to germany and if you look to the soviet side, their army was hundreds of thousands in size and were battle hardened by WW1, Russian Civilwar and by the Soviet-Polish war, both german and russian industry were absolutely destroyed (Germany had to pay billions which led to most industries failing, alongside resource starvation which had set their industry back by a few years) (Soviet industry was literally destroyed, 8 years of bloody conflicts not only against the Central Powers but also against itself had completly destroyed the land, plus, Imperial Russia was a Semi-Feudalistic, still Industrializing, backwards society), so there isn't a big difference that could help Germany. As for the reasons why Russia would do it are: Trotsky, he believed in internationalism and thought they should spread socialism/communism throught the world, seeing this uprising would just give Trotsky a reason to attack Germany, (Even tho Trotsky wasn't the leader of the Soviet Union he still was marshal of the Red Army and he was highly respected by Lenin, so it's very possible that Lenin could've given the green light for Trotsky). do not say i aint reading allat or i will sob...

To put it into perspective, they didn't finish paying their WW1 reparations until 2010, a whole 92 years after the war. The original amount was £6.6 billion, which adjusted to inflation is $760 billion in today's money, not including the loans and interest they had to pay.

I highly suggest you play Old World Blues. There are tons of interesting paths, you don't really need to know much fallout lore to understand. I suggest playing the Texas Provisional Government, because it is pretty easy, and has very little lore from the games. So it is a great start to the mod.

Multiple things about the civil war that you have to know If you want to trigger the czars abdication early on you need 1. 1.Mil. Casualties 2. 10% Capitulation progress Britian guaranteeing Georgia was a bug. They tend to guarantee nations when the world tension is high. The Russian Volunteer army has an extreme buff that theoretically makes it impossible to defeat them fast. They are technically one of the main antagonists of the civil war. They are supposed to push you and after a while their buff disappears. You got lucky though and snaked their one victory point.

Actually the polish soviet war is inconclusive neither side actually won. Poland failed to expand its border to 1772 while the soviet, originally defensive against polish offensive into Ukraine also failed in its objective to expand into poland and possibly Europe after they defeated initial polish offensive in ukraine. And poland again isn't entirely "innocent" when themselves was an aggressor for their own agenda invaded Lithuania for Vilnius and crushed western Ukrainian states

my theory of how ww2 would have started/how history would change for starters: i believe wosen and the other german territories lost in the east from versaille would be returned to germany. the entente was willing to do anything to prevent soviet expansion especially considering that the revolution (in most peoples eyes, not stalin like in our timeline) would have to be global. this obviously posed a threat to quite literally everyone, thus the reason it was basically the soviets vs everyone else in the civil war trotsky would gain power after the polish soviet war. this would have politically thrown stalin out of the dirt and overall make trotsky much more recognizable and influential in the communist party and overall the soviet union in general. we could imagine (as this is simply the most likely and best thing trotsky could do in this situation) that he would use all of this to fortify political alliances to eventually maneuver his way into gaining power. overall lenin still trusted trotsky more than stalin even in our timeline, it would make sense that considering lenins already trust in trotsky + the victory over poland and eastern europe that he would be seen fit by the rest of the party as lenins successor the most important thing that would come out of trotsky gaining power would be the fact there would be no military purges & no holodomor. both of these are important for the following: 1, the red army would simply be much stronger but 2, the soviet union would be less industrialized. stalin did not stop exporting ukrainian grain despite the ongoing famine for many reasons but the most important of which being that the money was an absolute necessity to rapidly industrialize the state as russia was practically backwards economically and socially compared to the rest of europe (serfdom, etc) as for ww2: i believe either france would declare at the german invasion of czechoslovakia OR yugoslavia why yugoslavia? hungary, bulgaria, italy AND germany all had territorial claims on yugoslavia. this would (in my opinion) not happen in 1939 but the point still stands that the expansionist and irredentist ideologies of all of these nations would definitely make yugoslavia seem like a likely target. italy already wanted to secure influence in the balkans (albania for example), bulgaria had claims on macedonia and parts of modern day serbia, hungary wanted vojvodina and parts of croatia to reform the borders of the previous kingdom of hungary, and italy again wanted basically most of the yugoslavian coast (to put it simply). german claims werent as major although the point still stands that yugoslavia would have most likely been the next target for invasion (the claims more specifically were parts of slovenia) now: if a, france declares after czechoslovakia then the germans would still blow through denmark, norway, benelux and then still france in this timeline b: after yugoslavia basically the same thing happens afterward, (if yugoslavia this would happen later) the invasion of the soviet union and POSSIBLY spain. the germans simply were not capable of taking over britain, considering hitlers foolishness as well i still believe he would declare on the soviets theres no way for me to say what would happen in africa, most likely the same things though. BUT if the war would start after yugoslavia, then italy might be more prepared, and i would say this would give the axis more success in africa, because again this was simply too complex of an operation rather than austria/czechoslovakia. it would require more time adding onto what i said a couple lines above about the germans invading spain: this also adds onto my theory about trotsky gaining power. trotsky was much more of an internationalist and again believed in a global revolution much like lenin, stalin did not. one of the main principles of stalinism is the belief that socialism can be constructed and achieved in one single state. this is why stalin did not really help the republicans during the spanish civil war. trotsky would have. i would guess that spain would eventually become a socialist republic if this is the case or just heavily soviet influenced (there was already an incredibly large communist presence before the civil war) anyways, the same thing would happen. the germans would get their asses BEAT but this time much worse and with less soviet casualities. no military purge as well as the fact that trotsky would actually most likely expect an invasion (stalin did not.. he trusted hitler for god knows what reason) would make this the outcome. but again, if spain was socialist: i would guess that the spanish would fall against joint german french and perhaps italian forces, but if they are able to hold off or are simply liberated then that could mean that the reds could push into western europe. what would they do next? that would depend. lets say they occupied only small portions of either italy or france or whatever else, assuming that they would establish puppet states is simply foolish. the main reason being it would be too strategically invaluable or overall unimportant as well as the incredibly high costs of maintaining the security and protection for said puppet state. thats why austria was turned into a neutral country rather than east and west, but again if only a small portion of say france was occupied by the communists that wouldnt make france a neutral state. it would simply be too little but eastern europe would be a different story. i would guess that the soviets would push MUCH farther. trotsky wouldve been prepared for an invasion like this as well as the fact there would have been no military purge it would simply just make sense thats my theory
