If you're thinking about playing Red Dusk, just keep in mind that only about four or five countries currently have focus trees, and overall, the mod isn't packed with content yet. From my experience, playing as Iraq was the most enjoyable, and the run as the KGB in Russia was quite fun too. I really hope this mod grows and gets filled with more content - especially since China has a lot of potential for interesting gameplay.

It is not 100% garenteed that you get Belgium and Luxemburg when you do that focus. When I did it Belgium declined and I got a wargoal.

I tried playing Netherlands and got Paris in 2-3 weeks from the start of the Great War using cavalry and bicycle divisions before the French had time to dig in. The war didn't ended though because Russia was still around.

To win as central powers is occupy Paris and pretty sure they just need to be below 50% surrender progress and you’ll maybe get a scripted peace deal with the entente. Russia will still do what it does but encircle them early enough in Poland and the casualties will activate the revolution. You need to do this very early on before any entrenchment and production advantages the entente have come into effect. If you had faster units in that first breakout you could have very handily won or at least gotten close. Please tell me you can just reload an earlier save and focus on speed more at the start

The Dutch got Taiwan because we owned Taiwan for a while. Used to call it Formosa, same for Ceylon , South Africa too despite the English attempt to commit outright genocide on the remaining dutch population there. Incidentally this is where the idea of concentration camps the Germans would later use originated... Ceylon and South Africa were "totally not stolen" during the French revolution where the British would "protect" them to keep them out of french hands and just totally "forgot" to give it back
