2:50 north korea before 1990s were self sufficient in food production and were actually quite decent as a communist state with comparable living standard of east germany and Czechoslovakia. In fact in 1950 north korea were more industrialized (due to Japanese colonization) than mostly agricultural south korea and which is also poorer at that time and communism were quite popular among south korean working class and peasants. Even during the korean war it was the south korean that commit more atrocities against civilian than the north due to their anticommunist paranoia under the authoritarian right wing president syngman rhee. South korea in the cold war period was no different than the north. It was not until Park Chung Hee industrialized south korea into a industrialized powerhouse and began to surpass north korean economy, and it wasn't until 1980s where south korea were finally democratized.

Christ this mod is so bad you stop doing things in a very very specific way and it just breaks, like you should just be able to give up your colonies and Suez as communist France

Something I do in my games is have a lot of small naval invasions instead of a few big ones… also I lead a “main” invasion with elite marines followed by other invasions of horrible division… It works for me and hope it works for you
