I first learned about capsule hotels at age 16 from a trashy yakuza bodice ripper novel I stole from one of my parents who left it in the bathroom with a stack of other bathroom books. A spicy scene did in fact take place in this capsule, and those characters DID NOT meet expectations or respect the shared space. P.S. So glad you posted Ellbat!

I was recommended your video about your life falling apart (why I don't know but probably cause life is a little downhill for me and my family aswell haha) and I could really relate to alot of the things you were experiencing. I wish you all the best and I'm looking forward to upcoming content no matter when the videos are uploaded!

Someone who actually thinks about giving info that is useful to disabled people, thank you. And about Sieve Brain, mine deprived me of one more hour of sleep. Today I had a doctor's appointment at 9:45 a.m. I got up at 7 a.m. and was ready and out the door waiting for my PA at 8:20. We got in the car, and he turned to me and said, "So when is your appointment?" I answered, and he just looked at me, "You do know that's in 90 min, right?" 😮💨😠

Last year, my partner and I stayed in a capsule hotel in Tokyo for two nights. It was great, clean and private enough. We ended up sleeping in the same bunk in a co-ed dorm. The one issue was that the fire alarm went off one night at like 2am. Our beds had little fans, which definitely helped with the stuffiness. I think it's a fun novelty to do once, or to not be in a traditional hostel, but I could not do it more than a couple nights.

I also slept in a pod in Tokyo, and it was one of my best nights of the trip! The genders were also separated, so having come with my boyfriend and some friends, it gave us a break, which was not so badly received in the end. It was hot at first, but the little fan was enough for me, I had an eye patch and earplugs, and I think there weren't many people in the room, or they were very quiet, and/or I was very tired after days of walking in the summer heat, and this little cocoon allowed me to sleep like a log. The establishment was also a manga and working café, there was a quiet/chair massage room, a sauna, an onsen, it was quite clean... And all for little money, really, it's clear that I will return to a pod hostel when I make another trip to Japan!

(hello, I'm usually a silent viewer). Japan is just so cool. The idea of the completely separate floors for males/females, the keys, etc. is nice. It looks better than many of the other hostel options out there

15:00 about the hostel culture thing. I need my sleep. Sleep is important to me. If I don’t sleep properly, I may or may not laugh and hysterically cry at someone tying their shoes because tying shoes is clearly the peak of comedy! One time we were on a school trip and we slept at a hostel. We were split into four rooms and I told the girls multiple times that I’m tired and that I really want to sleep after a whole day of biking. I told them, I don’t mind if you whisper just turn of the lights. In general I pride myself as being able to sleep through a lot, I just need it to be mostly dark. They blatantly disrespected me even after a teacher checked in and it was 10 PM so I took my mattress and blocked the bathroom.

I stayed at the same capsule hotel. And I liked it pretty much. It was the last two nights, after travelling two month through the Country. Unfortunately, I needed most of the time to reorganise my luggage for the flight, so I didn't got enough sleep. I did the sleep analysis, but didn't sleep enough. But when the camera is turned on, you can hear it...well I heard it. I also heard every single sound the others were making. And I snoozed my alarm just once and very quick. 😅 I had to get up at 4.30...not my time. I remember that there were more toilets, but don't rember where I found them. I loved the mattress, because it wasn't soft, I can sleep better that way. Normally I have to sleep half sitting, because otherwise my lungs stop hurting while breathing. But somehow this worked out very well. Anyway, I really liked the look, the cleanliness and the service (my suitcase didn't fit in the locker, so they kept it at the reception, and gave it to me and took it back everytime I needed it) there. And it's quite in the center of the city.

I noticed the thumbnail changed a few times for this video. This time when it popped up i noticed it didn't have as many views as you usually get on your other videos. So i just wanted to tell you that the reason why im not (and possibly others aren't) going to watch this video, is because (as you said in the intro) i have seen many of these videos before, and im no longer intrigued or interested in this capsule hotel topic. I still like your content! And i wanted you to know that! I dont want you to think you ''fell off'' or that people are bored of you, i just think this video is too late to the game. A different guy got up and touched his shoulder and asked him to turn it off which for some reason made alarm man try and fight the other guy?? When we checked out alarm man was demanding a refund because he claimed the other guy was aggressive.... We told the lady the truth and she sent him on his way but man, what a wake up that was

So...the pods seem cleaner and neater than I expected but "stuffy" is a total no-go for me. I'm claustrophobic to begin with, so being in a tiny room that I'm not sure I'll be able to get out of would be terrifying. The noises and thin mattress too...forget that.
