I want to say China’s early COVID lockdowns were impressive, but no country is flawless. It seems like the lockdowns now-at a time when there are vaccines-at a time when people know how to mask up and social distance-at a time when we can manage the virus if we’re smart and get on with the economy, are a policy ultimately hurting more people than helping. At this point many of the COVID variants are more infectious but much less lethal. I hope you, your friends, and your family are managing and that you all get enough food. The government is not always right-and this applies to every nation.

You're gonna love this. Trust me. What you're seeing now is a normal KZbin video. This is 24 hours in a manga cafe, and this - this is what known as 24 hours above 24 hours in a manga cafe. Or, you could call it 48 hours in a manga cafe. And this... this is to go... even further beyond... [Surviving 1 WEEK in a manga cafe?!?!?]

Also as a thought now that I've seen the entire video. Despite I feel Joey wouldn't be into it after doing this, I feel a 5 day Trash Taste Special could be interesting only because all 3 of them would have their own rooms, have 3 different views to watch, give challenges to one another each day they have to do, and they can spend time with one another or be more alone if they desire. Just see how more than just Joey would react as it would probably be better with the three of them in that length of time rather than just Joey going mad by himself. IDK just a thought

If you come to Japan I really recommend doing more than 1 week. Most of the cost is in the flights so you should make use of it and stay as long as you can. Most people suggest at least 2 weeks. There is so much to do and see in Japan, you will probably find yourself feeling very rushed and missing lots of you only go for 1 week.

Protips for spending the night in an internet cafe: 1. Bring an eye mask + earplugs 2. Bring any bath items that you are particular about (i.e. loofah, specific shampoo/body wash/tooth paste) 3. Ask the front desk for a spare blanket (one to sleep on top of and one to use as a normal blanket....the pleather gets hot) 4. Do not sleep on the smoking floor, even if you do smoke 5. Bring pajamas 6. Pay in advance if you are drunk (not enjoyable to be woken up in order to pay your tab before you are allowed to stay any longer)

There are communal areas! Like towards the end Joey shows some spaces you can hang out with friends but even in smaller ones that don’t have billiards and arcade rooms, there tend to be kind of lounge areas. But the thing is you usually rent a room anyway, people that are staying a long time don’t really come with people, and you can imagine most of the people who come are quite introverted - not a ton of people hoping to interact with strangers. Keep in mind Japan doesn’t have much of a small talk culture so things like that can be uncomfortable.
