Same here. Recently graduated from college and started my channel where I started to post programming blockchain related tutorials. even though getting very less views and attention still the video making process and everything gives so much joy than working on some corporate.

FT YT content creator here too! + I got a business degree from SJSU and ur right on the experiences from college shaped who you are....meeting deadlines, being creative, and finishing something to the end is what matters most. btw its so cool seeing your long form content, im a little used to your short form quick snapshots!

our past experiences all make up what makes us unique :) so glad that you came here from my shortform content, experimenting on here feels different but I’m excited to give it more of a shot in 2025

I disagree that finishing something to the end is what matters most. It's okay to give up on something that isn't aligned with you anymore and change directions mid-way. But good for her for finishing her degree if it was the right thing to do for her.

I spent 4 years studying for a physics degree, worked in education for a few years and am now a full time fashion content creator 😅 honestly, no regrets! I wouldn't be where I am today and I certainly wouldn't have had the confidence to start a KZbin channel without my experiences at university.

I finshed my degree in kinesiology like 2 weeks ago and yes a lot of imposter syndrome does happen. The idea of just letting things unfold was nice to hear because sometimes the career choice I have chosen did not feel clear until you stop caring about status. Love the work you put out here!

it’s so interesting to see how much our environments and the people we surround ourselves with shift our perception of the world and what we value here’s to more unfolding & listening to ourselves more honestly in 2025 🫶

I’m a 14 year old artist and i mean this year i decided i want to do everything. Long story short with the ups and downs I got published in Forbes and Artist Weekly, collaborated with major brands, my art getting hundreds of thousands of likes on TikTok. I have now started an instagram and trying to reach a 100k in a year since i have no school for 7 months but i have many other goals and i am not sure if i can achieve this or if it is realistic or not but then I see creators like you and even tho I havent done anything to compare to you its still inspiring to see peoples stories

thank you for sharing a part of your journey here 🤍 keep on creating and doing what you love, we often downplay what we’ve achieved because we think “well if I did it, surely anyone can” but not everyone will so don’t forget that! sounds like you’ve already started to do some amazing things so don’t forget to celebrate those wins before setting more goals :) you got this

I graduated with a BA in Communications in Entertainment and Tourism back in 2020. Before I fully get into my college degree, I've been doing music professionally for several years and picked up audio as a hobby before I graduated. As an Asian with immigrant parents, I know that I couldn't convince my parents that music was something I wanted to do, so I should go out and do it anyway, regardless of what they thought of it. Juggling school, work, and doing shows was rough, but I managed to make it work for myself and have had a good career so far. I mainly went to college as a backup plan. Well, the pandemic made that backup plan a lot harder to make happen when I graduated because very little was happening in the entertainment world at the time and I also couldn't play shows with my band. So during our time away from the outdoors, I took audio more seriously, specifically in music. I started writing more of my own material, worked with other musicians remotely, and did a lot of free work from home. I saw my skills start to gradually improve to the point where I started getting some paid work. Once the world started to open up again, I started playing shows again and worked as an audio engineer part-time, and then eventually full-time. Fast forward to now, my band is starting to get a lot more attraction, this year was one of my busiest years in both music and audio, and it's only going to get busier next year, which I'm genuinely happy about. I love what I do and I'm fortunate enough to do what I love and make a comfortable living out of it.

I believe you'll carry the experience and know-how into the next thing. Plus going for what your heart tells you provides invaluable drive, and that's a 10X boost in sucess potential at least :). I've been on a space engineering path for 12 years since starting uni, now switching to sculpting and producing miniature characters after having thought of it many times over the years 🎉

100%! nothing is ever lost but rather carried over in new ways creating miniatures sounds so fun, wishing you the best of luck & more happiness to come this year :)

as someone who did Engineering as well, and now is into filmmaking and content creation in general, I totally resonate with this video. despite having to spend that money on my education, i feel as though it was not a waste. after all, i feel that what i learnt in uni, in spite of not being directly related to what i do now, still has a huge impact with my creative process and work flow. 🙂

totally agree! a good chunk of the foundation of how I think and work through problems now happening in university I wouldn’t be who I am or where I am now without that chapter of my life! no experience is ever a waste 🫶 keep on creating on your journey, wishing you the best of luck

I studied engineering for 4 years and have worked on engineering consultancy for 18+ months combined. I’ve found that I lacked passion and hence had terminated 3 times in all entry level jobs. It used to be depressing during my 1st and 2nd termination, which leads me to still look for engineering, but after my 3rd, I dont know if engineering is for me anymore 😢. I am not happy. So I am considering getting into content creation, at least as a hobby or part time while figuring things out. I dont know about being full time tho. What do you think I should do? Anyways HNY 🎉

How can you call yourself a full time creator when you don’t have enough subs to pay the bills? You need to give better transparency to people because now you got people thinking you can be FULL TIME and pay the bills with barely any subs or views.
