so i used to work as an elf at and an aquarium that does an underwater/scuba santa and lemme tell you... the things kids ask for... sometimes they're funny like "a brick" or "a ruler", sometimes they're shocking like 5 year olds asking for a telescope bc they wanna learn about stars, and sometimes they're so sweet i cried... one girl asked to be able to go caroling in nursing homes bc she knows sometimes they don't have a lot of people visiting them during the holidays. one kid asked for her parents to get married. and one little girl who was maybe 6-7 said she didn't want any toys and she just wanted santa to make sure that all the kids who don't have a lot of money get some presents (that one knocked me out, i had to go cry in a corner for a couple minutes lol)... it's such an amazing experience to see all these kids (and even adults) meet santa and just get so excited they get the chance to talk to him. a lot are so interested in him and making sure he's okay and happy and it really makes me love kids (even though they can be super annoying sometimes rip)

One time- I think this was my last time sitting on Santa's lap cause I was scared I was too old to see him- I had just watched the movie Fred Claus and it kind of touched my heart so I wrote my letter to Santa in my shitty little kid hand writing and wrote; "Dear Santa, I want you to give presents to all the kids in the world, even the ones on the naughty list because no child is bad. It's not their fault- if you could give them at least one thing like a hoola-hoop or a toy car I'd be happy....also I want an easy bake oven" And the poor Santa was SO tired, he was skinny and looked like he was about to pass out but he read my letter, kind of wide-eyed and said, "Okay, cool." Looking back on it, that was a pretty shitty last santa visit but at least I asked for something important.

One time during Christmas a few years ago, we were at the mall passing through the food court. And "Santa" and "Mrs. Claus" were taking a well deserved lunch break lol Obviously they were the hired help. But it still felt special to see them among us. As I was looking over to them, Santa saw me and gave me a friendly wink! And it totally filled my heart with so much warmth and magic for a quick little second! I wish I weren't such a bitter adult about the holiday. But that mall Santa really helped me feel a true spark of Christmas joy in his kind gesture. I'll never forget him!

When I was a kid, my church hosted a Christmas party and they invited a Santa for all the kids and we all got super happy and told him what we wanted for Christmas. The following Sunday, we all saw him again and we asked him why he wasn’t back in the North Pole and he told us “Well I liked being in this church so much that I decided to come here every Sunday from now! I can get here from the North Pole in no time at all” and for years after that, myself and all the other kids thought that Santa was really attending our church but then as we got older we realized he wasn’t actually Santa and he was the father of a women who also attended the church. He was a mall Santa as well and he had just moved to my hometown when he showed up at that Christmas party lol

Not every church is remotely close to the horrid experiences they described... just seems to be agenda driven to keep the topic on satanic view points rather than unheard voices, so fine not pastor (who has voice at their sermons) what about clergy members or missionaries?
