Yuki and I have been spending three nights in the wilderness. That also meant four days without an internet connection or external communication.
I like to have these days pretty much once a month. It's very calming and resets your approach to life for sure!
This video became somewhat like a documentary of life in a remote cabin in Norway.

That was a very inspiring story. I know the truth of what you say; all of it. I am working towards that. Life lesson: you don’t own things; things own you. Simplify your life… and you will have time to enjoy the cabin in the woods. Too many obligations burdens us. We can’t enjoy what you just showed us if we take on too much in life. Second life lesson: you will NEVER have enough money. Because if you have a lot of money, your spending habits also increase (not always) So keep it simple and find great value in an ice bath. May I suggest snow shoes and a pulk sled to draft your gear? Snow shoes are expensive, but if you are patient they can be found much more affordable if offered up second-hand. The pulk sled can be fashioned from a youth sled.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful comment, Steven :) You got it quite well to the point. Especially financial obligations. The second lesson depends a lot on the person's spending habits. But I'm sure the desire for more (something that actually drives) will hardly fade. Keep it simple is everything. And yes, you are so right... I did not have the money for snow shoes atm, but they would have made a huge difference! The pulk would be awesome for Yuki!
