Hey Doug. I noticed you were trying to get the name straight on the subs. I don't know about the west coast but in Philly it was the trend back in the 90's to mount your subs one or two bolts counter clockwise so the writing on the sub would be at an angle. Maybe we did that cause we were all building our own boxes and if we messed up the holes you could just tilt it noone couldn tell. Basicallly sayin f*** it, and even if you had it straight you would still mount it crooked cause it was the style. That's how I did my two 12" Crunch's in a homemade ported particle board box. Bugged the shit out of me cause I'm ocd but all my boys were doing it too so that's just what we did.

Polyfil can slow down a reflective wave in order to help eliminate this phenonenon. I've never built a sealed box though. There are no waves in a box when you're playing sub bass frequencies. It pressurizes and depressurizes. The wave length is just too long to have standing waves in an enclosure with sub bass frequencies.
