I'm delighted you've started your channel. When my father was diagnosed with Parkinsons, my mom took the role of dedicated carer. Their's is a love I've rarely seen. My sisters & I started to notice when mom looked tired. We stepped in and ensured she could have quality time with her sisters and friends. We had outside carers come in to help mom. My father flourished under her love and care. She made sure that he was still the backbone of our family. You are such a great husband, father, and carer for Jen. You raise her spirits and try to see hope in everything. You are a rare gem.

Kyle, This is so good! Im giving your link to my husband too! He has cared for me when I had pancreatic cancer. You along with him are rare gems!! How do YOU take care of you during the caregiving? Often I think that caregivers experience just as much as the patient but they don’t have as much rest. (Just my experience speaking) There’s a lot of travel, waiting, cooking, cleaning and in my case, working had to happen wherever he was. We did this for several years. He never complained. Anyway, I’m grateful you’re doing your channel too! We are happy to support in any way! I’ll start by subscribing! God’s speed. Take care of you too. Love to you, Jenny and the kids! Happy 2023!

Kyle I have Cerebral Lupus I have gone through Chemo but never gone through radiation! I was always nauseated through Chemo and I was on 40mg of Prednisone daily! I gained a lot of weight and my face was round and fat! They had to wean me off of Prednisone and Unfortunately My Son was a Sweetheart and my oldest Son was too! I had them play Bette Midler's song "Have You ever known You are My Hero" I danced with David to that song and I cried so hard through that Song cause I wasn't off Prednisone yet!❤❤❤❤❤❤

So happy that you have your own channel!! I was a caregiver to my dad who had Alzheimer’s. He passed away a year ago . it’s a long hard road and I had many frustrations along the course of his illness. The last two months I was unable to continue caring for him and had to place him an adult family home. My husband passed away the day after my dad and his death was unexpected and only 45 years old. I really appreciate your channel !!

Wonderful idea having this video Kyle. I'm sure it will be helpful to many....but I pray that it will be helpful to you too. People who are caregivers tend to put themselves aside....because...in a way...they have to. But the need to feel all that you're going through will eventually come to the surface. I hope this channel will be as a little nest for you to share your humor...your tears....and your fears. A place of safety..understanding and support from friends...who really care. 🙏❤

Kyle this is a great idea. I was diagnosed with a very rare form of breast cancer with treatment lasting a year and a half. My husband had to retire early in order to get me to ALL the appointments and be home with me. While I had lots of support I feel the caregiver deserves even more. Such a stressful time! Thank you for sharing and helping our loved ones with a caregivers perspective! You and Jenny are truly a blessing to the rest of us. Can’t wait to see more of you ! ❤️❤️ I look forward to all Jenny’s videos and now I’ll be looking for yours. Your strength as a couple is inspiration to us dealing with this unwanted journey of cancer. My question would be how do u stay so positive and strong for Jenny? Do u have bad days too and how do you deal with them?

I’m so happy you started a channel of your own too! I’ve had three experiences with cancer. The first was my Mom. She had lung cancer and passed away within three months. Which was really fast and hard. The second was my Aunt, she had breast cancer that had metastasized to her spine. I took care of both my Mom and my Aunt . Then there was me. I was diagnosed in 2021 with stage 1 breast cancer. Had Chemo and radiation treatments and I’m doing pretty well. I still go every three months to have a Mammagram and then I see my surgeon and Oncologist. In saying all this Kyle I by no means wanted to bring you down about Jenny at all! You are such a great husband and you both have a wonderful relationship! I found Jenny’s channel first. And I was drawn In by her and you. You both seem to be so optimistic and that’s really great! I wanted to let you know I’m praying for Jenny and you all and I pray God performs a miracle with Jenny and everything will be good again!❤️🙏

Kyle, I have admired you from day 1. I was a full time caregiver for my husband for 11 years. He was a surgeon and I am a nurse and the comments I got from others ran the gamete from you are a saint to I don’t know how you do it. It’s been 8 years since he passed….he was much older…..and I still hear I don’t know how you did it. What many don’t understand is that when you love someone you act without thinking about the how. You take on every day knowing that you are both working with a positive attitude and planning for a positive outcome. An outcome that is much more likely to happen with the positive attitude. It truly makes a difference and you are both great at being realistic while at the same time maintaining the positive. I think your channel is great. I searched for an outlet and for personal information when I was a caregiver and there wasn’t much out there. This is a much needed channel and I feel certain it will help you and many others. Until you have been in the situation you can’t possibly understand it. You’ve got this!💕

Yas! This is a great idea Kyle. I know you may feel awkward at first but I assure you there is value in what you’re doing and I just know that you’re going to feel that more and more as you go along and that your self consciousness will settle and you’ll really hit your stride and be glad you did this. I have experience on both sides here. In 2009 I became very unwell and my husband was my unofficial carer until 2013 when he had a massive stroke. The effect of the stroke on him was profound and although I tried to care for him at home, without help (whilst still being very unwell myself) ultimately I had to make the hardest decision of my life and place him in care. I wish I’d known early on what I know now. I know now that carers often die before their loved one (that very nearly happened to me) and that it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon, so good self care is essential. It’s not selfish, it’s non negotiable. You simply cannot pour from an empty cup Kyle. We never hear much about how you’re going and what measures you’re taking to see that you can go the distance. Maybe we will now you have this channel? I hope it can be a two way street and you can learn from those who follow you who are also carers. I think I’d like one of your first videos to be about getting to know your feelings better. Maybe an “ask me anything?” I’m sure whatever you’ll do will be great. Can’t wait to see more videos 👍😊

This is great, Kyle. My husband is suffering really badly now with his mental health. My illness is different, but it’s a strain all the same. He does all my full time care, my Hickman line care, my TPN, all my tubes and bags, Peg for 24/7 drainage and ileostomy. He manages my dislocations, is trained to do all my injections, subcutaneous lines, antibiotics, fluids etc. Since my last sepsis and 3 month battle to live, he’s had complete burnout. I’m totally bedbound now, and rarely manage up out of bed, so he had to give up his work, and spend almost 9 months in hospital with me, to learn how to do all my complex care. He even has to fix my dislocated joints, hips, ankles, knees, shoulders, even toes which makes the toughest of nurses squeamish. He now stays in hospital whenever I do, as my care is complex, and it really helps the staff. I’m on palliative care, so no more curative surgeries, just pain Management and life support. I wish my hubby did have social media, as I’m sure he would find comfort in this channel. Right now he’d rather cope alone, but he isn’t really managing. 😩 It’s very difficult. I commend you for always keeping positive for Jenny. 💖 I know there will be times where you are so scared for you and the children. You really do a wonderful job, not everyone is able to do what you do. Happy New Year to you all 🎉 and wishing Jenny a peaceful, healthy and happy 2023 . 💖 Your kids are wonderful, so well brought up, and the sweetest little ones. You’re a great little family, and the fur babies too! 💟 Happy 2023 🎊

I think you have a lot of helpful advice to offer and I hope that the people who need your channel the most find it. I know I will recommend it to my brother who is supporting his wife in her battle with an aggressive stage 3 colon cancer. They are in their 30s and have 3 children between the ages of 4 and 9. He has been very resistant to talking about what is going on, and is bitter about how cancer has changed their lives. His wife is a nurse (on medical leave now) who has always relished being the primary caretaker of their family and now this has had to shift.

Thank you. A couple months ago we found out our 42 year old son has stage 4 cancer. As he is confirmed bachelor he has no caregiver so it's our job. We're all scared to death and angry and confused. Thank you for the safe place for us.

Hi Kyle! Good for you. There are many things you might want to talk about. Caregivers have to take time out for themselves. If you do not your health could suffer alot. Do have a great time with this channel. We are here for you too!

I’ve watched you on Jenny’s channel & you are an amazing & connected spouse & caregiver. You encourage her & stay hopeful, but you are particularly skilled at being present and making & respecting space for Jenny to have whatever feelings she has without trying to gloss over the tough ones w/ excess positivity, which is so important. There’s absolutely a place for positivity and hope, though so many people struggle with just being present and listening to patients share their intense feelings of anger, sadness/tears, fears, etc. That’s critical & your example is helping many other caregivers. You & Jenny have such a beautiful marriage & the mutual love & care is so clearly evident. Continuing to pray for entire gambling🫶🙏

Great job Kyle, I think this will be a great support for a lot of people on both sides of cancer/chronic illness. You will also be going back to work soon so the dynamics are about to change for you both and this will help track some of those issues as they arise.

Bravo Kyle! I was my mom's caregiver for 5 years and with my wonderful husband. It was rough, rewarding and lots of precious moments. Being able to converse with other caregivers is important. Cannot wait for the videos

Kyle- I’m so happy you created this. I didn’t realize you did this or I would have subscribed earlier. Love you and Jenny both. This discussion is so important. Bless you’re heart!❤️

I’m now following you & think it’s awesome you have somewhere to vent. You need lots of support & time off as well. You’ve been very strong & amazing for your kids & Jenny. It’s ok to share with others: it’s ok to reach for any support you need as well. Rooting for you, Kyle! And of course your family & Jenny who I’ve recently started following. (11 year stage 3a breast cancer survivor) 😊
